River looks up from his book to the sound of tapping on his window. He stands up from his spot in his bed to see none other than Derek sitting outside on the roof. He quickly opens the window and Derek climbs in. "We have a front door you know." River giggles. Derek smiles sheepily looking up at the boy.

"I um....felt bad about your shoes, I hoped these would make up for it." Derek pulls out a bouquet of flowers from behind his back, they were perfect. They were a little crushed and they looked like wild flowers, pink and yellow colored. River squeals setting the flowers on his dresser then throwing his arms around Derek's neck.

"Thank you so much for the flowers, I've never been given flowers before. Did I mention I also really like flowers." Derek chuckles quietly before wrapping his arms around the other boy, resting his chin on Rivers shoulder. River pulls back from the hug looking down a slight blush dusting his cheeks. "I look like a mess." He laughs running his fingers through his wet hair. Derek uses his index finger to lift Rivers head by his chin.

"I think you look beautiful." Rivers heart skips a beat as Derek leans closer his lips inches from Rivers. River could feel Derek's hot breath tickle his nose.

All of a sudden a knock sounds at Rivers door and Derek pulls away. River looks towards his door quickly but when he turn back around Derek is gone.

"Hey Riv you wanna watch Star Wars?" Stiles asks opening the door. River smiles, trying to calm his beating heart as his cheeks burn red.

"Sure." River answers following his brother down the hall.

"Can somebody help me find the notebook." Jackson call out looking around. River taps the other boy on the shoulder causing Jackson to jump.

"Hey!" River exclaims.

"What are you doing here?" Jackson questions.

"I work here, you said you needed help finding the notebook?" Jackson nods stiffly and River motions for Jackson to follow him. River stops seeing feet sticking out from behind a shelf. The boy had, had his earbuds in while stacking dvds on the other side of the store. His co-worker had been fixing the light. He and Jackson move closer slowly. River jumps and Jackson back away as they see Rivers co-worker with his throat slashed out, dead on the ground. Jackson backs into a ladder causing the light to fall and the power to go out. They here a growl from behind them and River pulls Jackson behind some shelves and puts his finger up to his lips.

The shelves start to tumble down and River pushes Jackson away only to be crushed by a shelf himself, Jackson flees running away as Rivers stuck there defenseless. The alpha slowly approaches him and River freezes. The Alpha hovers over him as silent tears roll down his face before slowly backing away then throwing itself through the store window.

River looks up to see his dads police cruiser pull into the parking lot. Noah walks over to his son and pulls him into a tight hug. "I'm okay, Dad."

"Why the hell can't I just go home? I'm fine." Jackson complains from beside him. Jackson and Sheriff talk for a bit, mostly with Jackson complaining. "I wanna go home!" Jackson yells and River flinches slightly wrapping the blanket on his shoulders, tighter around his body.

"Oh, whoa, is that a dead body?" Stiles calls from Noah's cruiser and River couldn't be more thankful. River looks up and sees Derek and Scott on top of the video store. He smiles slightly waving discreetly at Derek who looks concerned.
