8 - ration bars

Y'all I forgot to mention, these are like big as pine trees but with softer, bushier, lighter green, and bigger branches
Padmé's P.O.V

I woke up with Vaders arms around me, it wasn't cold anymore so I slipped out of his hold and quickly got dressed incase he woke up, when he woke up when I was trying and failing to put away the sleeping bag, he wordlessly walked over and helped. I glaced at his outfit, he hadn't got changed yet (I mean he just woke up) and was just wearing boxers and a grey T-shirt, I had seen him in boxers before but my mind was distracted then, nothing here. "So we're doing the same thing as yesterday, sitting in a tree from dawn to dusk?" I asked
"Yes." Vader said, his voice was deeper and more gravelly, I blushed "Here, some of the scars might need redoing." he said and my mind died as he dropped his T-shirt
"Uhm, yes." I said, I walked up to his and looked at the scars, he flinched when I touched them "Two out of the three that needed stitches need re-doing, you should probably put some bacta on the rest." I explained running my hands over them,
"Thanks." Vader said, I blushed at his voice again but wordlessly turned away as he changed, soon we went to go climb a tree again can't say I wasn't dissapointed that he was back to his usual outfit.

After a while of sitting up a tree and Vader saying nothing again- I don't think he was mad, I think he was meditating, doing something in the force while I had to suffer, suddenly he sprang up and quickly turned to me
"Vision?" I asked, but he just stood up and ran across the branches, just in time to grab me when the whole planet shook, he pulled my closer to his chest, back onto the branch and then he stood up next to the tree trunk
"Planetquake." he said "Dont worry, these trees are meant to withstand these things. It wont fall." he reassured, but he kept me close to his chest and closed his eyes, I didnt know what he was doing until a log got flung at us, but it shattered on of some sheild, I reached out and felt a sheild, from no where, wait, from the force, Vader pulled me back in closer to him "Careful." he warned, but his voice sounded far off, like he was prepearing
"Vader?" I asked, I hated how small and scared my voice sounded, suddenly a whole tree came flying at us but it stopped with a grunt from Vader, he strained slightly as the tree lost all its momentum a dropped to the ground.

Suddenly the branch we were standing on broke, Vader quickly reached down and grabed me with the force managing to pull me into his arms, he regained his balance, but now our faces were inches apart. I blinked and looked at his lips, so kissable. No, I looked down, Vader was my superiour and maybe my friend, but nothing more, he would never like me like that
"Thats the most intresting thing thats ever happened during one of these I bet." I said, Vader smiled
"Yes." he said

After the planetquake ended we both went back to sitting in the tree doing nothing, Suddenly I realised
"You havent eaten anything since we got here." I said, I walked over to Vader and grabed some ration bars from my bag, then handed them to him "Eat." I said
"No." he handed them back
"I learned how to force feed priosners I will use it on you." I threatened pushing the ration bars back
"You dont stand a chance agains me." Vader stated, throwing the ration bars at me, I caught them and glared, he was probably right
"Lord Vader ruler of Imperial arms and second in command of the galaxy, I swear to the force itself, if you don't eat these ration bars you will have a fate worse than starvation." I said, I didn't know his full name so it was the best I could do, judging by Vaders face it worked, I threw the ration bars hitting him square in the chest "Eat." I commanded, he slowly started to eat the ration bars
"You're scary." Vader said, he sounded a bit breathless
"I try to be." I said, still partially mad,
"Huh." he said, he trailed off and just kept eating the ration bars.

Vader's P.O.V

I slowy ate the ration bar, I haven't eating real food in years, while I heard ration bars were plain, this tasted delicious to me, I saw Padmé watching and I heard a dirfting thought

Hes eating like he's never eating anything before, after his nightmare and scars I knew something was up, but surely no one- not even the emporor could find a way to stare someone that much. He dosen't look starved...

of course she notices, I can't believe she can tell. Oh I am Vader for forces sake! I tried to eat normally, recalling occasionally seeing officers coming back from the mess room, or targets eating- wether the food was poisoned or not. I finshed the rest of the ration bars, saying thank you crossed my mind, but no, I am a sith. Whether I wanted to be one or not...

Padmé's P.O.V

After sitting there for another hour, I gave into boredom and started climbing the tree, I saw Vader open one eye to see what I was doing but he closed it again, anyone else might be worried but I climbed trees all the time back home on Naboo and I knew Vader would catch me, he would see me falling in his meditation and react.

I climbed all the way to the top of the tree when I got a call, my weight shifted as I reached to grab my comlink and the whole tree bent over "WOAH." I yelled and I could of sworn I heard Vader laugh, I hung there for a moment but I figured it was get sling-shotted or let go, so I dropped. I went flying down the tree and I closed my eyes and trusted Vader to catch me; sure enough a pair of strong arms caught me, I looked at Vader who raised an eyebrow and had evidently walked here- not needing the force to tell what would happen, Vader gave me a look again
"Your hair." he said
"What?" I ask, I raise a hand to my head, I feel sevaral twigs in it and gasped "I JUST GOT THIS DONE!" Vader actually looked amused and I sighed going limp in his arms "Rainbow's got better luck getting permission to dye their hair than me fixing this."
"Rainbow?" Vader asked
"A storm trooper, 5632. She wants to dye her hair but regulations forbid it." I explained
"Can't you give her permission?" Vader said while setting me down
"No- it needs to be someone in charge of troopers, I'm an Admiral. Trust me, we tried, he even did it once but it got him demoted from commander to a regular troop." I told him, Vader paused, seeming to contemplate this
"You called this trooper- Rainbow both he and she." Vader said "We don't allow non-humans into our ranks, I'm trying to fix that."
"They aren't, she just prefers not to have a gender and he uses all pronouns to mix it up, hence the name Rainbow." I said
"Huh, I've never heard of that before." he said
