I couldn't help but stare at them with eyes wide in shock. Destiny once again played with my life and there was no way to run this time.

I should have known better. Josh told me Enhypen was coming to New York. He told me we had a new job with a k-pop group and i should have connected the dots. Even after all this years...i'm still as dumb as before.

...

I just realized that i've been staring at them for way too long. Good one y/n, just the perfect way to make a fool of yourself.

"Oh my god, hi! I'm y/n, but Josh must have told you guys already, right? It's great to have the opportunity of having you here, using our services of makeup, because it's a makeup company, of course. We don't sell clothes or anything, just- uh-...yeah, makeup." I stop talking after rambling my ears out. Oh god, this is embarassing.

Jake, one of the few english speakers of the group, took a step forward and spoke for the group, seen as Jay, the only other who had english as his mother-tongue, was too busy talking with Jungwon. "Hi, my name is Jake. These are Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Niki. Thank you for accepting to work with us, your team was highly recommended by our company."

Come on y/n, make up something, do something you stupid dumbo. "Well, i- i don't think so. I came from Korea, yes, but i lived in... in... ULSAN! Yes, i lived in Ulsan. You know? Beaches and whale watching. The old and beautiful Ulsan."

"Ah, yes, Ulsan, very... beautiful place for- Uhm- whale watching." Jake talked once more, but soon shut his mouth as Heeseung started speaking. "Well, what Jake meant is that you remind us of someone from our past, but it's just a normal coincidence, you know? He's usually not that weird."

"Yeah yeah, i completely understand. He just gets a little awakward when talking to someone he doesn't know yet, i know." I explained in an understanding tone (Tone? I don't know, sorry)

Jay then spoke. "And how would you know that? From what you said we never met before. How do you know?"

I'm an idiot! Dumb, dumb, dumb! I thought while mentally facepalming. "W- well i'm a fan! Yes, i'm a fan of your work. You guys are really talented, and have amazing music. Did you know you have amazing music? I mean, of course you know, haha. I'm just a fan, yeah." I excused myself, with the last phrase coming out really rushed.

"Oh yeah, a fan, sorry. He was just making sure you weren't a sasaeng who stalks us, but you're a fan, and that's completely okay." Hee explained for Jay.

Hee... Do i even have the right to call him like this, after everything? After running away without even saying goodbye... No, i don't think so.

But it's okay! No feelings. They don't even know who i am. After this tour ends, everything will come back to normal. They'll go back to Korea and i'll stay here, in New York. Living my life just like the last 3 years, and everything will be fine.

If luck is on my side, i won't even have to directly interact with them that much. Just do the makeup, and nothing else. No small talks, no conversation.
