since evie and josh got ice cream embarrassed each other on instagram, they had hung out nonstop. they'd post tiktoks together, snapchats or just watch movies. they were inseparable.
bryce and lexi had began to notice it as well. and they could see that there was maybe something there a little more than friends. josh and evie didn't know it though. but it was obvious to everyone around them.
lexi had decided that since evie had josh and bryce that she was going to go back and visit conner and millie. evie wasn't going to lie but she was a little nervous. it's not that she didn't trust bryce and josh it's just that she had never been apart from lexi. and lexi was nervous to leave her best friend in la while she traveled all the way back to maine. but she trusted that josh and bryce would take care of her best friend. and josh assured lexi that he'd protect the girl.
so here they were. at the airport. josh had driven them all out to say their goodbyes to lexi.
"eve im not even gonna be gone for 2 weeks." lexi said as she hugged the girl.
evie was a mess and bawling her eyes out. she had never been away from lexi and had separation anxiety to the max.
"i know." evie sobbed. "but i'm gonna miss you."
lexi hugged the girl closer. "eves i'll come home earlier. conner and millie will be okay if im there for just a week."
"no i don't want to ruin your fun." evie said as she pulled away and wiped her tears. "i'll be okay. i have josh and bryce-"
"hey, why was josh used first?" bryce asked. "it used to be bryce and josh and now it josh and bryce. why am i the second pick? why-"
"shhh." lexi said, putting her hand to the hall boys mouth. "this is about me today. tomorrow it can be about you. today is about me."
bryce rolled his eyes before getting a mischievous glint in his eyes. before the group knew it, lexi shrieked and ripped her hand away from bryce.
"what the fuck, bryce!" she exclaimed, people around them began to stare. "did you just lick my hand?!"
"maybe." bryce shrugged innocently.
"oh you son of a bi-"
"flight 173 boarding now!"
evie smiled at lexi and bryce. lexi glared one last time at the hall boy before turning to her friend and giving her a hug.
"i'll see you in a couple weeks, yeah?" lexi said with a sweet smile.
"a couple weeks." evie nodded.
"bye josh." lexi said, waving at her roommate before walking towards the gates.
"WAIT!" bryce yelled as he ran after the blonde. he lifted her off the ground and spun her around.
josh and evie smiled at the two. evie whipped out her camera and snapped a picture of them. josh hovered over her shoulder to see it and smirked. josh was so close to her that evie could feel his breath on the back of her neck. it made her shiver.
