Chapter 5: Past

SeMi POV

"Ah! Joseomnida!"
I apologized when I saw the spilt water on the floor.

"It's okay... Well then, let us start the meeting."
Luhan said, clearing the awkward atmosphere. Everyone nodded as well as Chanyeol. Chanyeol then sat down in his seat across from Luhan and Luhan began the meeting. The meeting started off with combining the companies through contract to create a product where we all would benefit from it.

"I also plan on having my brother, Sehun, to take part in this contract as well. His company, Xenon, is the 3rd best company in South Korea, so with the combination of all 3 of our companies would make this contract very successful. My brother is not here right now to discuss the contract with us because he is currently in America."
Luhan said. Everyone seemed to agree with the idea of combining the companies through the contract, so everything was going according to plan. As I looked to my left, I saw Chanyeol staring at me. I quickly moved my head back not wanting to remember the past.

An hour later, the meeting was over and everyone left the meeting room except for Chanyeol, Luhan, and I. Chanyeol was the first one to stand up from his seat. He walked towards me and said,
"Aren't you going to give me a hug? I haven't seen you in so many years."

I sat there pinching my fingers wondering if this was real. Luhan then came up to the both of us and said,
"Ahem..."

"Ah... Joseomnida."
I said as I stood up and bowed.

"Chairman-nim.. This is my brother."
I said.

"I see... I'll leave you too alone to talk."
He said. We both nodded to him and he left. Chanyeol then leaned towards me as I backed up on the table. Chanyeol laid his hand on the table as his face was just inches away from mine.

"I missed you."
He said with a smirk.

"C-Chanyeol... W-Why are you here?"
I asked. He cocked his head.

"What do you mean? I'm here for the contract between Luhan and I's company of course. Weren't you paying any attention during the meeting?"
He said. I bit my lip and my hands clenched together.

"Well anyway.... I've wanted to see you for a long time now.... Don't you miss the old days?"
He asked as he removed himself away from me.

"What do you want from me?"
I asked him.

"I want you to live with your dear older brother again of course."
He said with a grin. Liar...

"What do you really want from me?"
I asked.

"Exactly what I said a while ago. Come live with me rather than with our Father."
He said as he held my chin. I forcefully turned my head away from his hand and replied,
"I'd rather go die in a ditch."

His eyes widened.

"Since when did you get all of this confidence from?"
He asked.

"None of your business."
I replied.

"You're so bold now, little Mi."
He said.

"Don't call me that."
I said while walking away.

"Hey now... Where are you going?"
Chanyeol asked as he harshly grabbed my hand. I shook my hand to get away from him, but suddenly,

*opens*

"Chairman-nim... We need you out here."
One of Chanyeol's workers said. Chanyeol immediately let go of my hand and replied,
"I'm coming... Just give me a second."

The man nodded and closed the door. Chanyeol leaned towards me and said,
"This isn't the last time you'll see me."

He smirked and left the room. My fists slowly uncurled and sighed.
