Mk pov I follow the fox boy up the stone staircase, not sure why i trust him....especially since I don't have my dads staff rn but ey what's the worst that could happen? "Hey um what's your name?" I ask realizing he never even gave me his name, the dark haired boy paused and looked at me with a nervous chuckle and responds, "oh! Well that was very rude of me huh, my name is Tanjiro!" I smile and nod, we proceed up the steps towards the entrance, we hear the bustling and murmurs of all the young participants and i am hit with a sudden wave of a powerful scent that burns my nostrils!
"Ah?! Whats that scent? Its burns my nose!!!" I say in a whisper yell at Tanjiro who looks surprised but then looks panicked. He immediately hushes me, "that's wisterias! It wards off demons, i guess even tho your not a normal demon you still are affected....try not to make it obvious tho or else it'll give you away!"
I flinch but understand the gravity of getting caught would be horrible.
