Miles stares at Miguel below him in confusion. Suddenly, he bursts into a fit of glitches and exclaims in anguish. Climbing the fast train wasn't as easy as Miles and Miguel made it out to be. You finally manage to climb to the top of one of the trains from the gaps between each car. Gwen and Peter followed right behind you.
"Mi-" You tried to shout for Miguel once more, but Gwen beat you to it.
"Miguel!" She held an expression of fear as Miguel continues to launch towards Miles.
"The spider that gave you your powers wasn't from your dimension!" Miguel digs his claws into the steel of the train and menacingly crawls toward the panicked Miles.
You grow nervous with each word that left Miguel's mouth, what was he thinking? Is he really going to tell Miles exactly what we all agreed not to spill? If we tell Miles the whole truth about his origin, it could really hurt him and drive him to do things we might not be able to stop.
Miles continues to crawl away but painfully glitches again as his grip slips. Unfortunately, he slides down closer to Miguel before regaining composure. You assumed that he lost his wristband during the chase, or the time has already passed and reached its limit.
"It was never supposed to bite you!" Miguel spits.
"Miguel, arrêt! Enough of this!" You shout against the loud breeze.
The three of you struggle to climb the train despite the harsh winds, it only got more difficult the higher up the train traveled. You felt yourself reaching your limit as you slow down with each grip.
"There's a world out there with no Spiderman to protect them because it bit you instead!" You could hear the glare from Miguel's words. "You're not supposed to be Spiderman!"
You faintly hear Miles muttering to himself a continuous string of "No!" before he twists around to shoot some webs down at Miguel. "You're lying! I'm Spiderman!"
"You're a mistake!" Miguel roars.
Miguel catches his webs and rips them to shreds, digging powerfully into the train toward Miles. He thrusts himself into the air and grabs a glitching Miles, attaching a web to the train ahead and slamming him into it, pinning the stunned spider with his forearm. A large dent was formed in the train around Miles' body. From below, you see Miles fight against Miguel's iron grip on him and couldn't calm the simmering anxiety within you. The same applies to Gwen and Peter who looked as anxious as you.
"If you hadn't been bit, your Peter Parker would have lived!" Miguel's mask comes off and you see his chocolate locks thrash in the wind. "Instead, he died, saving you."
Miles fights against the large man, twisting his body and pushing against Miguel. Miguel treated his squirming like nothing and continues to hold Miles in place.
"He would have stopped the collider before it ever went off." Miles looks away from his intense gaze, but Miguel moves his face back in front of his, "Spot wouldn't exist, and none of this would have happened."
By the time the three of you had reached them, Miles finally saw and cried out to Peter. Miguel glares down at you all and quickly shoves Miles back into the train, keeping Miles focused on his words.
"And all this time, I have been the only one holding it all together!" Miguel grits at him, his eyes laced with red.
"Get off of me!" Miles manages to utter against Miguel's tight grip on him.
From right below them, Peter continues to climb, "Miguel, go easy on him!"
You noticed Peter's words do not capture Miguel's attention as he says something menacingly into Miles' ear.
