As the months passed and the autumn season arrived, Michikatsu found himself feeling curious about his friend Chrollo's past and origins in Meteor City. Today, he decided to seek answers from the priest, who often had knowledge about various aspects of their world.
Quietly tiptoeing out of the room while Chrollo was still sleeping, Michikatsu made his way to the chapel where the priest usually spent his time. The falling leaves painted the surroundings in warm hues, and the cool breeze brushed against his cheeks.
Upon arriving at the chapel, Michikatsu found the priest tending to the small garden, just as he usually did. The priest looked up and smiled as he noticed Michikatsu's approach.
"Nice to see that you're comfortable." the priest said, as he closed his eyes to hide what his feeling
"I was wondering if you could tell me when you took care of Chrollo?," Michikatsu said, his curiosity evident.
The priest paused for a moment, as if recalling the information. 'I got Chrollo when his mother abandoned him...he told me that, I think" he replied, and seeing that he won't be answering anymore, Michikatsu stops asking, a moment of silence pass
"Father," Michikatsu spoke softly as he entered the dimly lit chapel, "Can you explain to me what Meteor City truly is?" he ask, as he looks at the priest straight at the eye
The priest's weary eyes met Michikatsu's, and a solemn expression settled on his face. "Ah, Meteor City," he began, his voice carrying a hint of sorrow. "It is a vast, lawless slum nestled on the outskirts of the Republic of East Gorteau, a place where society's forgotten souls seek refuge from the world's judgment. Or what we call the abandoned placed by god"
