Wednesday and Xavier are secretly dating.

Secretly dating was already hard for Xavier. With his past girlfriends, he'd always been very open about relationships, usually partaking in some sort of PDA.

Wednesday was different.

With her, he had to wait to kiss her when they were in an empty classroom, or had to hold her hand under the table.

As much as her truly cared for her, he wasn't sure how long he would last with this.

It truly was a new form of torture.

Dating was weird, Wednesday had expected it to be slightly uncomfortable at first.

Which is why she was shocked when it felt good. It felt right, like this was what she was supposed to be doing, not like she was doing something wrong.

She enjoyed the fact that he held her hand under the table, how he would shoot her small smiles when they passed in the hallway.

Sometimes, she would give him a small smile back.

Wednesday and Xavier didn't, to the outside world, have any change in their relationship. Surely, Wednesday new found kindness towards Xavier was simply her being in a better mood.

"So Wednesday, did you and Xavier sort things out?" Enid asked one night about three days after their talk.

"Yes." Wednesday answered, eyebrows furrowed as she clacked on her typewriter.

"And what conclusion did you two come to?" Enid said, rolling over on the bed to get a better look at her roommates face.

"We are no longer friends with benefits." Wednesday sighed. It wasn't the complete story, but it wasn't exactly a lie either.

"Oh, so no more sneaking around after dark?" Enid giggled.

"Correct," Incorrect, she would still need to go see Xavier.

"Well, I'm sorry you had to end it?" She said it like a question, as though she didn't know what to think of it.

"It's not a big deal," Wednesday sighed, spinning around in her chair to fully face Enid. "I mean, it was enjoyable while it lasted, but it wasn't going to go on for forever. Eventually, he was going to find a girl, or a guy (Because Xavier's bi in my head.) and he wasn't going to need me anymore." Wednesday shrugged. He HAD found a girl. Her. But she wasn't ready to tell Enid that yet.

"Well, as long as you're happy."

"I'm never happy." Enid rolled her eyes at her roommate.

"So Wednesday, I was thinking that, maybe, you could go somewhere else tomorrow night? I wanna have Ajax come over, and I doubt you wanna be here for that."

"I'd rather wear your wardrobe." Perfect, an opportunity to see Xavier without raising suspicion.

"Alright, do you have somewhere to go?"

"I can go to Xavier's dorm, him and I are still on speaking terms."

"As long as you don't come back covered in hickeys."

"I'm sure you and Ajax will do that same." Wednesday said. Enid blushed. "Plus, remember, me and him called off FWB. It's over."

"You never knowww...." Enid said, wiggling her eyebrows, a grin spreading across her face.

"Stop that." Wednesday hissed.

Enid giggled. "We should go out, dinner starts in like, 10 minutes."

Wednesday nodded and stood up, novel completely abandoned.

At dinner, Xavier took a seat to her right. Okay, fine, he sat next to her a lot anyways.

And then he placed and hand on her thigh.

No one else could see of course, and Xavier raised no suspicion, not even looking at her as his hands rested on her body. She blushed lightly, and prayed no one noticed the slight pink tinge on her cheeks.

"Wednesday, you alright? You're looking a bit pink." Enid claimed around halfway through dinner.

"I must have caught something. I'll be fine."

Xavier's grip on her tightened slightly for a seconds, squeezing her before going back to his calm resting position.

"Wednesday, if you're not feeling good, you should go back to our room." Enid said in a tone that wasn't suggesting something.

"I'm done eating, I'll take her up." Wednesday looked at Xavier. She knew what his sneaky ass was doing.

"Okay, Xavier will take me up."

"Shit, you must be feeling terrible if you give up a fight that easily." Enid whistled. "I'll be up in like, half an hour!"

Wednesday nodded before standing up, Xavier leading her over to throw her trash out and then began the walk to her dorm room.

"You're adorable, you know that?" Xavier laughed.

"What?" Wednesday hissed, glaring up at him.

"Yeah, you were blushing so hard," He was a giggling mess at this point. "And you let me walk you to  your dormmmm." He sang, squishing her cheeks. She slapped his hand away, her cheeks heating up. "And your so squishy and adorableee!!!"

She groaned, rolling her eyes. "Shut up before I gut you."

"You wouldn't!" He fake gasped, before giggling again. "You like me too much, you soft, squishy littl-"

"Shut up Xavier."

She opened the door to her room and shuffled them both inside. The switch in attitude was almost instant. The moment the door closed, Xavier slammed her small figure against it. Wednesday groaned as her shirt slipped up and the cold wood scratched her soft skin. He kissed her hungrily, as though the meal he had just eaten hadn't sufficed in calming his hunger.

She moaned as he pressed her shoulders into the door. He slid his tongue deeper into her mouth, exploring the land no one had yet traveled to. Their tongues circled each others for quite some time, until Xavier started traveling down her neck, before stopping at her collarbone.

"Feel better, Miss 'I think I'm coming down with something'" He mocked, laughing, picking her up and throwing her onto her bed.

"Much better, thank you." She sighed.

He held her close to him, until both of their breathing evened out and they drifted off to sleep.
