'Put it down, Jesse,' the boy calmly spoke.

The girl - Jesse - held the long spear above her head. Her deep brown eyes were crazy with excitement as she plunged the metal into the body of the hog. The boy then stood with his arms folded and nod slowly, contently.

'Not bad, Greenie. But you can't kill the shuck animals without my approval. I'm not having you here, you're bloody jacked.'

'Thanks.'

'Not a good thing.'

'Whatever.'

'It's lunchtime.'

Jesse followed the boy (named Winston) over the grass until she saw her friend. Winston continued onwards, striding into the kitchen with confidence. Picking up a bread roll and a banana, he approached a table where his friends sat. They all looked expectantly. The Keeper of the Slicers slammed his fist into the wooden table, and with a sigh he said:

'She's a tough one.'
