CHAPTER I: THE FIGHT ALTHOUGH DIFFERENT…

ALTHENA POV
I let out a huff as I then quickly slid to the left, watching as the scythe hit the wall right where I was originally.
‘God that was way too close.. '
I quickly thought before watching Odessa yank out scythe by the handle with such ease. I took a deep breath before continuing to dodge and try to land a hit on Odessa.

‘How often has she been training?’
I thought before quickly jumping backwards,dodging the scythe that sliced In Front of me.  I then did a frontflip, landing behind her and stabbed her with my sword. I then heard her yell out a shriek before turning around to face me. I watched as she then let out a psychotic laugh. I felt goosebumps on my arms as I shivered.

“Oh I love seeing you get like this~”
Odessa delightfully said,smirking as she began walking towards me. I felt my face flush a bit before sighing.

“What do you want?”
I bitterly said as I began to walk around her in a defensive stance. I never know what tricks she has up her sleeves, the least I could do is be prepared.

“Well someones eager to know, I could tell you..”
I watched Odessa looking to the side innocently as I groaned.

“Just spit it out”
I said,getting more irritated with the woman in front of me. I didn’t even realize that the both of us were just circling around eachother.

“Well YOUR people stole something of mine, a prized possession. I don’t know who did it but somebody did.”
Odessa gritted,irritated by this..thief.
‘But who? Who in their right mind would have the guts to steal from Odessa? Anybody knows to not mess with her unless you want to get your head cut off. ESPECIALLY any citizens, they wouldn't even step near her even a smidge!. Unless.. Zolten..? No.. no he would never.. He never does that stuff without a reason.. But maybe-’

“You seem to be lost in thoughts, do you know who?”
She asked, walking closer to me as I backed up even further.

“No.. Honestly I don’t even know who would have the guts to anyway”
Odessa nodded in agreement as she approached me, her steps measured and deliberate.

“Yeah but y'know we still need to finish this”
Odessa chuckled,flashing a smile before bolting towards me, swinging her scythe at me in the process. I stiffen up,staying still for a second. Although it felt way longer. I thankfully finally raised up my sword in a defensive position,closing my eyes and praying.

I was startled by a deafening screech that echoed in front of me. The sound was so piercing that it felt like it was drilling into my ears. I opened one of my eyes to assess the situation. My sword was raised in defense against Odessa's deadly scythe, which was inches from my face. Both of us were frozen in place, no one bothering to move an inch. My heart raced as we held our positions, waiting to see who would make the first move. I heard the painful screech increase in volume from both of our metal weapons grinding against each other. I look up to see Odessas grin. Noticing Odessa's smirk, I composed myself and took a deep breath, steeling myself with a determined expression. I refused to let her intimidate me and was ready to face whatever challenge lay ahead. I use all my strength to my arms as I push Odessas slightly back before finally pushing her off completely. I watched as she stumbled back a bit before looking back to me and coming in for another attack. I quickly dodge before she comes in again. We go back and forth, dodging eachothers attacks and landing hits on one another.  Before she's able to land another hit on me, I quickly do a frontflip,going over her as I end up behind odessa. I turn around and stab her, She lets out a cry before kneeling onto the ground. I sigh, turning away,letting myself relax a bit before then turning back to her to talk.
