"I'm going to save my friends, Piper, Jason, and the rest of the crew. If it kills me." Leo wrote, just days before his death. before he sacrificed himself to stop Gaia, the primordial goddess of the earth. before he was blasted to Calypso's island, Ogygia. As Dylan re-read Leo's diary, he found this quote. It resonated with him; he himself had a goal he would do anything to achieve. Maybe even...die?
Dylan desperately wanted to be the hero of the camp, and since Leo—the hero—was here at camp, it was the excellent opportunity to kick him off the pedestal and take over.
How can I accomplish this? Dylan pondered, and just then he heard Luke knock on his door.
Dylan slammed Leo's diary shut, jumped up, and rushed over to the door. He pulled it open, finding himself face-to-face with Luke, his best friend.
It took Dylan a moment to realize the answer to his question, but when he did, it would be the start of an era of calculated villainy like nobody at camp had ever seen.
Luke. Luke was the answer.
"Hey...whats up?" Luke questioned, she knew Dylan was likley snooping through Leo's diary. She just pretended she didn't hear Dylan and Leo's conversation just a few hours prior.Dylan grabbed her arm, a spark of evil lighting up his eyes. "I need your help."

Luke's godly power? Shapeshifting. Dylan could be the hero if everyone thought Leo was as evil as Luke was. If Luke did so much evil in Leo's body, Leo would be the anti-hero and he would be the hero. But he needed Luke fully focused on helping him and using her power for his goals.
What was Dylan's sick way of doing that? Dating her. He knew she liked him, and he could use it to his advantage.
Leo's fate was a chess match, and Dylan was the king, and Luke would be his queen, making his power moves for him.
She's kind of pretty; she has useful powers, and she might be good in bed, Dylan noted, in his mind. Plus, it's not illegal because she's 16, and it's only a three-year gap.
Little did he know that the consent age in New York was 17 years old.
Dylan did like blondes after all. The only thing that was sort of a turnoff was the ugly scar running through her eye. reminded him so much of his old friend, Luke Castellan.
Now, Dylan's plan was set, the cards were dealt, and he was sure there was no stopping it, but he could handle it tomorrow. Now he needed sleep.
Dylan combed his hair, brushed his teeth, changed clothes, and stalked Leo before bed.
You're probably asking yourself, "Stalked Leo?" Yes. That's exactly what he did. You see, Dylan has special abilities, but they have nothing to do with being the son of Eros.
Dylans power? None. His curse? Mirrors. He could travel through mirrors and see through them. It didn't seem like much of a curse to him; in fact, this was extremely useful for Dylan because he was a disgusting pervert.
He could see Leo now, cleaning up his own blood off the floor, even though blood was still dripping from his wrists onto the hardwood floor. Tears were streaming down Leo's face. "Pathetic" is what Dylan called him, and that's what Dylan still thought that he was at this very moment.
Seeing Leo breaking down like this made Dylan almost overcome with fury. If everyone at camp thought Leo was a hero, why the hell would he cut himself? I wouldn't.
In this moment, it was decided that this was Dylan's purpose. What would he die for? Showing everyone who Leo really was. If it kills me, Dylan declared. And it just might have, because what only Dylan and his twin sister, Diana, knew was that the more they used their powers, the more it killed them. The only way to preserve their power over mirrors and stay alive is for the other twin to die.
A/N: while I am not a fan of writing from the pov of a terrible person, I think this is the most interesting chapter yet. It sets up a lot, and we learn some secrets ;)
