Leo had decided that he was ready to go back to Camp Half Blood. That place became a second home for him, and after all this time, he was ready to go back. Leo planned to stay at camp his last year before he turned 18 to see his best friend, Piper McLean, and all his other friends and siblings."Are you sure, sweetie?" "You're always welcome to stay." Josephine said. It was just the two of them at the train stop because Emmie was driving Georgina to school.
Leo nodded. "I'm sure I need to get away from everything."
Leo's main reason for this decision was that he just couldn't stay there; it reminded him too much of Calypso, the goddess who had groomed him. He didn't know this was going on until they started to drift apart, and he knew he had been used. It was a smart play; if Leo was trapped on an island for most of his life, he would want to be free. He still didn't approve of the twisted games the thousands-of-year-old goddess played with him.
"Okay... keep in touch, dear!"
Leo knew she was faking her smile for him; he knew she wanted to cry, and he did. The two ex-hunters and their daughter had become a huge part of his life—they were the closest thing Leo had to a family.
Leo gave her a big hug, inhaling the moment. He would be back to reunite with his family, but not after visiting his godly peers in New York.
The Latino jumped onto the train, looking back at Josephine, hoping she would give him an important reason to stay, but none came.

The train stopped a few miles away from camp, so he would have to walk the rest of the way.
Leo was not in the best physical shape, and he knew just a 3-mile walk would wear him out. It did.
By the time Leo arrived at the gate, he was dripping in sweat from the summer heat.He silently cursed Apollo for being so bright and stepped through the camp barrier. Leo was kind of shocked at how no monsters came at him—maybe this will be a peaceful trip, he thought.
He thought wrong.
His old friend Will greeted him at the barrier: "Hey, Leo!" His short boyfriend, Nico Di Angelo, is standing beside him.
I'm probably taller than him.
"Leo." Nico nodded, his eyes scanning Leo like paper in a printer.
I guess it's been that long, huh?
"Wheres piper?" Leo asked, looking behind the two extremely queer boys, searching for his best friend. Will gave him a soft pitying look before dropping a bomb on Leo: "She's in Oklahoma."
What.
Leo looked horrified; the only reason he was here was Piper, and she was in... Oklahoma?
"I'm sorry, Leo, but the rest of us are glad to see you!" Leo thought of when Will first showed him around camp, when he discovered he was a demigod.
"When's she getting back?"
Nico spoke up, sending chills down Leo's spine: "I think she moved there."
Leo dropped his stuff and let his fake smile slip. He was disappointed. When was the next time he would see her? With Leo on the verge of hurling himself off a bridge, who knew if he ever would?
"Don't worry, Leo; I'll make sure you have a good time, even if she's not here." Will chimed in, trying to make him feel better with his Apollo charm.
Leo trusted Will, and though he would prefer Piper to be here with him, there was nothing he could do. He hoped that he'd see her soon, and he held his hopes high and prayed they didn't dwindle. This visit wasn't ruined; in fact, it was just getting started.
Leo said swiftly waved bye to the couple, and rushed off to his cabin to unpack his stuff, and the news of pipers move.
On the way there, in the corner of his eye, Leo spotted a boy who looked around 19, staring him down. What's he still doing at camp? He looked like a basic white boy to Leo, but there was something unusual about him that Leo would soon discover, and it would put everyone in danger.
A/N: Hey! How yall liking this so far?? Its just kinda getting started but I promise it will get interesting soon. Swear on the styx!
