Chapter 2-what is wrong with me?

(May's pov)
I texted Ethan that I was by the gym while talking to some of my other two really good friends, Annalise and Isaac.

"HEY ETHAN, COME HERE" Annalise yelled as she saw Ethan making his way towards us.

How do I even begin to explain Annalise, she is the unhinged one of the group but she is also nice to the people she knows. She's always doing crazy things but the good thing is that she doesn't care what other people think of her and that's why she does all the crazy things.

Isaac on the other hand is the complete opposite. He's more of a black cat energy type of guy and doesn't talk to people he doesn't know but I guess that's why him and Annalise get along so well.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Ethan coming closer to us and I couldn't help but stare for a little longer than I should have. I don't know why but lately I've been catching myself staring at Ethan a lot more and getting butterflies when I'm around him but I don't know what it is. Am I sick?

(Isaac's pov)
Once again I can see these two idiots staring at each other, of course Maya doesn't know her feelings for Ethan. Like come on, we're not in some type of teen romance drama. I decided that me and Annalise should leave and give them privacy.

"Oh Annalise remember that English essay that we have to finish, we better leave and get working on it."

"Huh"

I could see the confusion in her face and I mentally face palm. What an idiot. I decided to tell her with my eyes and look right at Ethan and Maya then back at her, after a couple of seconds she finally understands and starts to play along.

"OH YEAH! That paper, we better get working on it, don't want to keep Mr. Smith waiting."

"Wait I have English with you guys We don't have an essay"

Dang it I forgot Ethan was in our class now I have to go out of my way to make a the excuse.

"Uhm she only gave it us, for extra credit!"

"Yeah uhm... we're failing"

I mentally face palm myself again. I already had the lie and now she has to make me look stupid saying that I'm failing. Without saying anything more I drag her away from the two and head over to the library to read a book and scold Annalise in the process.

(Ethan's pov)
Those two really are strange. I turn my attention back to Maya and spark up a conversation until the stupid bell had to ring and stop us. I walk her to her class and we say our goodbyes. While I'm in math class all I can think about is how slow time is moving, every minute I'm looking at the clock and waiting for class to finally end.

The bell rings and I rush over to lunch, I saw the rest of my friends over at our table and head on over their. As always Annalise is being loud and talking about something random while Isaac and Maya listen and try to calm her down.

"What are you yelling about this time Annalise" I say while sitting down next to Isaac.

"Im yelling about stupid Mrs. Melvin, she had the nerve to give me a C- on my math test but that's besides the point, Today I actually got to talk to Lucas"

She says this with a dreamy look in her eyes which causes Isaac to roll his eyes and scoff. I knew he was jealous and couldn't help but laugh a little, he looked at me and shot a deadly glare at me, making me laugh even more. Isaac has had a crush on Annalise ever since they met but of course with him being all emo or whatever he hasn't confessed. I start to tease him a little while the other girls are distracted in their own conversation.

(Annalise's pov)
"Do you think it worked?" I say in a whisper

"Oh it definitely worked, do you see the angry look in his face it's hilarious"

I groan while thinking about a number of thoughts. I've liked Isaac ever since we met and I don't have the courage to tell him so I'm trying to see if he likes me by making him jealous. Although I don't even see why I should try, why would he like me?

Just then one more person that's in our friend group came up to us. Her name is Ella and she's a great friend to people who know her. If you don't then that a different story. She can be  described by others as mean but she just doesn't have a filter and will say whatever comes to her mind.

"Hey Ella where were you this morning? I texted you but you didn't answer."

"Sorry I was at a doctors appointment and forgot to tell you guys"

She had an apologetic smile on and I told her it was fine but make sure she tells us next time, she said she would then sat down at our lunch table.

(Ethan's pov)
After we were all done with lunch we left and was just roaming around the hauls, Talking and laughing. While we were in the hauls I could feel people constantly staring at us, mostly because of Annalise and Maya they were basically the most popular people in school. I was relived when the bell rang and I could leave all the people who were staring at our group who don't know how to mind there own business.

Two of my classes were really boring because they were so easy, I didn't pay attention in them and it didn't matter since I knew everything already. Then the real fun began in my last class. Robotics. I was in charge of most of the coding and the reason I like it is because I don't know everything about it. It can get hard and frustrating but that only make it worth it when you finish the coding.

(Maya's pov)
I let out a big sigh as the bell rings and the last class of the day was excused. I hadn't been able to pay attention in any of my classes, my mind kept going back to one person. Ethan. I need to figure this out before I start to fail my classes, might not be a bad ideas maybe then I could stop thinking about Ethan.

Once I get home I immediately go to my brother Noah. He's the same age as me maybe he can give me some advice if he stops being an asshole for once. I knock on his door and once I here the words 'come in' I open the door and just lay on the floor next to his bed and ask him one simple question.

"What is wrong with me?"
