Today was the first day with Sophie's babysitter. I was more nervous than anyone could imagine. Blaine worked a little later so was able to leave at the same time as me and help me through it. Sophie got to meet her before which was good. Hopefully she remembers her. I was holding Sophie when the babysitter, Alex, showed up.

"I'll be home right after work, okay?" Sophie just nodded and wrapped her arms around me. I almost cried. I could tell Blaine noticed. "I'll be home before you know it. You'll have so much fun with Alex." I put her down and started waving. She waved back. Blaine grabbed my bag for me and put his hand on my back, leading me to the door. He shut it behind us and I turned, putting my hands on it.

"I'm already struggling."

"Kurt." I sighed and turned back. "I know it's hard but come on."

"Fine." We slowly walked to our cars. I got in mine and just sat there a second. I knew Blaine wouldn't leave until I did. He also contacted my work bestie and told her to let him know when I arrive and to make sure I don't leave until I'm done. So I headed to work without a fight.

Lunch came around and I picked my phone up. I opened Alex's contact and hovered over the call button. Blaine wouldn't know, right? You think Alex would mention it? Oh, what the heck! I pressed the button and put the phone to my ear

"Who are you calling?" I look up and saw Blaine. I quickly hung up and threw my phone down. Then I nervously started laughing.

"You!" He pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"Really? Cause... I don't see a call."

"Maybe it didn't go through."

"Kurt..."

"OKAY! OKAY, YOU BROKE ME! I WAS CALLING ALEX!" I stood up, walking over and grabbing his shirt. "I JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE SHES OKAY!"

"First of all, let go of my shirt. Second of all, this shows nothing good comes from lying to me. Third of all, she'd call if something was wrong." I let go of him and shoved my head into my hands.

"What's wrong with me?" I asked, on the verge of tears.

"You have trauma. You're scared. It's going to be okay though."

"You promise?"

"I promise." I wrapped my arms around him. He kissed my cheek, wrapping his arms around me too.

I eventually sat at my desk and he sat across from me. We talked a while before he ordered some food for us. He was distracting me and I knew it. I had some time too before I needed to continue working.

When I was heading down to get our food, I entered the elevator with a coworker. Her name is Callie. She is one of my closer coworkers.

"I was in the lobby when your boyfriend asked for you. I didn't know he was a cop." I laughed.

"Yeah. Isn't his uniform hot?" She laughed this time.

"He's just hot in general but yes." I smiled at her.

"And he's sweet. He ordered us food. That's what I'm going to get."

"Aww, cute. Lunch date!" I nodded. We got down to the ground floor and she said bye as I got our food.

Blaine left after lunch and then I was done with everything and able to go home. I could not be happier. I rushed home and burst through the door. Alex laughed as I ran straight to Sophie and picked her up, squeezing her.

"I missed you!" Alex got up from the floor where she was with Sophie. She walked over, smiling at us.

"She did great! We had a lot of fun!"

"Thank you so much!"

"No problem." She started grabbing her things as I talked to Sophie. "So, did you need anything earlier?"

"Oh. I was calling to check on her but Blaine caught me in the act." She laughed.

"Oh! Okay." She looked at Sophie and waved.

"I'll see you tomorrow!"

"Bye!" She said, waving.

"Bye!" Alex replied.

"And I'll Venmo you right now! Thanks again!" And Alex left. I put Sophie down, sent her the money, and headed to the kitchen to start dinner.

I think I'm only going to make about 20 parts so it's coming to an end. It'll include a time jump too.
