This is the last chapter of the fanfic. I'd like to dedicate this one to Thilde - thank you for encouraging me to keep writing :)

"I'll go tell everyone then," Vic said and kissed Theo on his forehead. She then left the room to share the good news with the rest of the team.
Travis was alone with Theo once again, but this time it was different.
"I'm so glad to see you awake," Travis told Theo who smiled in response. He was so weak. It took all of his strength to keep his eyes open but he wanted to talk to Travis.
"I wouldn't be able to live with myself if you didn't wake up," Travis continued, tearing up.
"No no no, wait," Theo whispered as he still couldn't talk properly. He grabbed Travis' hand and squeezed as tight as he was able to.
"It was my decision. And you would do the same for me," Theo said, looking straight into his friend's eyes. "I saw him, Travis."
"What?" Travis was confused.
"I saw Michael. He was there with us," Theo explained quietly. "And then when I thought I was going to die, he came to talk to me. He told me not to let go."
They both had tears in their eyes, thinking about their loved one.
"I got him killed and he still saved my life," Theo continued while crying. He was sobbing so hard it was hard to breathe.
Travis wasn't able to move at first but the warning beeping of the machines woke him up.
"Hey, Theo, I need you to take a deep breath, okay," Travis said as he got up and looked for an oxygen mask.
At the same time, Miranda appeared in the room with ice chips. She quickly understood the situation and took the oxygen mask out of the cart.
"Okay, shhh," Miranda told Theo as she put the mask in his face. "Deep breaths, okay?"
Travis came back to the bed and took his friend's hand.
"Everything's okay, Theo," Travis tried to calm him down. "Michael is still looking out for the both of us. I'm sure he's here right now. And he needs you to slow down your breathing, okay?"
It helped. Miranda listened to Theo's lungs and looked at the machines.
"Can you get Vic, please?" Travis asked her.
"Of course."
"I'm so sorry, Travis," Theo said. It was hard to talk with the mask so he tried to take it off.
"No no no, don't," Travis warned him.
"I forgive you, Theo. I know it hurt you as much as it hurt me. Michael's gone but he definitely wouldn't want us to stay away from each other because of this. He would want both of us to live proper lives. And be friends."
Theo's eyes were closing as the tiredness was getting harder and harder to fight. But Theo heard each and every one of Travis' words.
"Thank you," Theo whispered as he fell asleep. Travis watched him, tears still in his eyes.
Vic came to the room after a few minutes, taking a seat in a chair on the other side of the bed.
She reached over the bed to take Travis' hand. They held each other while Theo slept between them.
"I love you both," Vic said, looking at Theo and then turning to Travis.
"So do I," Travis answered with a smile on his face. It was real, he didn't force himself.
He finally felt good. And he was with two very important people. What more could he ask for?
