Lucas got alerted when the lights went off of the hallway, red light alarm started flickering producing a sound. Employees started running outside of their cabins.
Lucas turned back to see Minji tying her hair up, Jiham must've pressed the button under his table.
"Ma'am!" Lucas yelled when Jiham ran towards the room which had opened up in the corner, Minji followed Jiham.
He knew the situation had escalated because of the alarm and Jiham was going to hurt Minji.
He walked towards the door but it was locked by another layer of door. He couldn't just simply break it or open it.
He heard footsteps approaching him, he quickly removed his phone but was soon met with a harsh kick over his abdomen, his phone fell on the ground, he looked up at the man who kicked him and other men, who started approaching towards him.
He knew there wasn't a single chance to survive by the bodyguards, they were well trained to kill mercilessly.
So was he.
He looked at the other side of the hallway, no escape. The guards had started walking towards him from both of the sides.
He didn't dare to remove his gun.
He would be shot from both the sides if he dared to point the gun at them.
He can keep up a fight with them to pass the time.
Who knows? Minji might survive and come to save him. He believed in her fighting skills.
"Don't move. Don't try to reach for your phone. Drop your gun." One man spoke walking forward.
Lucas removed the gun, his forehead started sweating, he remembered the fight he had with his son in the morning, who was 7 years old. He stopped the thoughts and focused on the moment, maybe his last one.
He stared at the gun in his hand.
He placed his index finger over the trigger and he heard sounds of guns loading, he looked up at the men, they all were pointing their guns at him.
And...
He made the decision he thought would work out, he threw the gun on the floor and reached for the first man, kicking him in the abdomen.
Another punch came towards him from the side, he dodged it.
He was kicked into his abdomen, another guard shot his ankle, the bullet was deep inside his bone, Lucas whimpered and looked at the men in front of him.
He did wanted a miracle to happen which could save him and Minji.
He knew, if he died, there were less chances for Minji to survive.
Even if she defeated Jiham, these guards won't let her leave from here, since they were loyal to Jiham.
So he decided to fight as long as he can.
He placed his hands on the floor and got up only to be get kicked but he blocked it, his ankle pained.
He gave a high kick which landed under the man's chin, he punched him in between his ribcage, other men started attacking Lucas, he mostly tried dodging them, to play safe.
