My friends and I were sitting under the big oak tree on our school lawn when all of a sudden I spotted something unusual. Actually it was someone, someone I hadn't seen in five years. It was my old friend Trevor. I hadn't seen him since the last day of school our sixth grade year. I had thought that he had moved.
I looked him over to make sure it was actually him. I leaned over to my friend, Clara, to ask and see if she recognized him.
"Yep, that is definitely Trevor. Man, he is so much taller than the last time we saw him.You think he's going to join MRA?"
"I don't know. I hope he does. It would be nice to reconnect."
My other friend, Maryann, nodded her head and said, "Yeah, sure you do," like she didn't believe me.
My face grew red as Clara started to chuckle. I hadn't intended for them to think I liked him. It was just, when we were younger we had always hung out together. We had been friends since the first grade and I only saw him like a brother of some sorts.
"Guys, you know he's just a friend, if he still considers me a friend. It seems that he recognizes us. I want to talk to him. I'll be right back."
I stood up, wiped the grass off my pants, and walked over to Trevor. He turned to face me as I approached. He gave me a half hearted smile and turned a way. I called to him.
"Trevor? Trevor Bolten is that you? I hardly recognize you. How have you been. How long has it been, five years? "
He looked in my direction again and said, "Hey Christine. You've changed too.Are Clara and Maryann and Kate here? How about Chris? Is he still around?"
"Yeah everyone is here. Maryann and Chris are sophomores and Kate is a freshman. We have all missed you."
"I've missed you guys too. Oh, one last question, is Sam here?"
I stopped and thought if I should tell him. He seemed to really want to know.
"No, he's no longer going to school with us. He disappeared about a year after you left. We heard that he was being bullied, but we never found out who was doing it. After he graduated he just...disappeared."
"I see. Anyways, I have to go to the administration office and sign in. I'll see you in class. Oh, and tell Clara and Maryann I said hi."
I watched as he walked away. I turned and walked back to Clara and Maryann. I sat down on the lawn and said, "He said hi."
The first bell for class rang. Clara and I walked to English 3 while Maryann ran to Religion 2.
In the middle of class Trevor walked in looking uncomfortable as everyone lifted their gaze from their vocabulary book to him. He scanned the room seeing who he would share his classes with. He met eyes with Clara and then myself.
The teacher finally realized why everyone stopped working and said, "Well, hello there. I am Mrs. Martin. I am the English teacher. You must be Trevor Bolten. I heard you would be coming in today. Please take the seat next to Clara Branson. The rest of you, please make Trevor feel welcome."

We finished the class without anymore distractions. The bell rang and everyone picked up their stuff. As Clara and I walked to our next class I said hi to everyone I walked past.
We were just nearing our next class, Religion 3, when I stopped walking. I had thought I saw someone that I hadn't seen almost as long as I hadn't seen Trevor. But it couldn't have been him. I grabbed Clara's arm and asked her if she saw him.
"Who?" she said. "Christine, I think you are losing it. We need to get to class. Come on."
I couldn't stop staring into the crowd. I had to be pulled to the next class. I just couldn't believe my eyes. Questions started racing through my head.
What was he doing here? Was it really even him? Was I actually losing it? Was Sam going to our school?

Author's NoteHey guys,
I'm so excited. This book is not entirely true but it is based off of my life. I had a dream a while back and I thought that it would make an excellent story.
Just as a heads up. 5 dashes like this

means that time has pass.
Also to begin with the first couple of chapters are just Christine's POV. But another person will share their side of the story. Then it will alternate back and forth.I hope that this one does better than my other book. This one I'm comitted to and will try to publish the chapters every Sunday.
