Everybody, especially parents, reminds us that there's no such things as ghosts, spirits and shadow people, etc... Well, lets just say, they are wrong! I know, I've seen them. But how do they, the normal people, know if they haven't seen then yet ? My parents just say: ' It's just a trick of the light ' And songs and quotes says: ' Believe in what you see...' However, which is right ? Which is the real one ?

CHAPTER ONE :

*

" Tammy. Wake up already! " Snapping my eyes open, instantly regretting it and shutting them down again, realization hit me. It was a dream. A scary one.

I had been woken up by my little annoying sister, Kate. She rested her tiny fingers on my shoulder as thought to shake me awake.

Slowly, I blinked several times waiting for my eyes to adjust to my surroundings. " Are we there yet ? " I mumbled.

" One more hour and we'll be there. " Kate said.

My Mum, Dad, Kate and I just moved to a sunny California since our parents recently got a job over there. Kate and I are starting a new life, a fresh beginning. We were to attend a new school, in a place we've never been before, and meet new faces. Nevertheless, I've promised myself that I'm going to try harder this year and pass the ninth grade and become the " Bee Queen ". And this is what I thought. Believe me, you don't wanna know why.

" Here we are, " Mum said relieved. Dad folded his one day old newspaper that he was reading : On the front read the normal weather reports and politics.

We all dragged out feet outside our black mercedes car stamping our feet in process trying to get feelings back since we've been sitting inside for like.. centuries to me.

" Alright, since we are here now, we're going to start a new page. And I'm going to enforce some rules. And I need no one to ink at the wrong spot on the pages or else.. " Mum folded her arms.

" Oh great. Rules. Since when ? " I murmered to myself noticing that she rolled her eyes at my remark. " What ? " I shrugged.

" I need each one of you to hold your belongings and place them inside the house, " she said " and I'll handle everything else. Capeesh ? "

" Capeesh! " Kate said. Mum looked at me.

" Yeah, yeah, yeah. " I said waved my hand.

I looked around at the magnificent buildings that loomed before me. Nothing like the tall, grey steeled buildings of the city. They looked like an ant compared to those. But these houses, held an elegant undescribable. It took my breath away. " Which one is ours, " I said.

" That one, " dad giggled pointing at a huge mansion. It's creepy atmosphere held a hostile aura to all outsiders. I could hear creakings of the rood tiles and ivy frew widely up the side of the house. I swear the view looked like it's out of a movie novel.
