-Chapter One-

:Kaylen's POV:

I turned slightly the bed was cold meaning Lucifer hasn't been in it for awhile. It's been three years since the whole selling my soul and everything we've actually moved out into the country side away from the cities and just moved in together. I've come to the conclusion that I'm in love with Lucifer a demon and I'm pride to say some people might look at me like I was insane but I looked at myself in the mirror and I see no insane person I see a man who is in love. Plain and simple as that. I decided to go searching for him I stepped from our bedroom and walked through the short hallway that lead to the rest of the house. We didn't live in a mansion we lived in a small nice cottage that I am in love with. I didn't see him in the living room, nor in the kitchen I sighed and decided to check outside I opened the back door that went through the kitchen sitting on the grassy land was Lucifer he was sitting Indian styled he was faced towards the woods. I leaned against the door frame still standing on the back porch. He didn't this just about everyday he'll come out here and just relax he says sometimes he connects with the underworld wondering how everything is doing. He rules the underworld but he refuses to live down there. I watched as he uncrossed his legs and slowly stood up he must of sensed me or something I watched again as he walked right passed me and headed into the house his eyes were completely black something was on his mind.

" good morning" I said his eyes slowly started to turn back to his originally color

" good morning" he mumbled pouring himself a cup of coffee

" what's wrong?" I asked he drank his coffee and took awhile to answer me

" nothing" he simply said he walked out of the kitchen and down the hall to our bedroom I followed him

" what do you mean nothing your eyes were black" I exclaimed watching as he placed his coffee on the nightstand and started removing his clothes on in his boxers.

" I'm fine" he grumbled getting under the covers I sighed heavily and crossed my arms over my chest he turned the tv on and didn't say a word to me.

I grumbled and closed the door and walked over to the bed I crawled on top of him his body covered by the blanket. He slowly opened his eyes those crimson red eyes I was once deathly afraid of. His eyes held so much love and care it made me melt

" talk to me please" I whispered my arms crossed over my chest he knew how I felt about his silences it scared me.

" there's just business that has to be done" he said locking eyes with mine I just nodded my head

He grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me down I attached our lips together he quickly responded it was a short sweet kiss he pulled away a little while after.

" I have to get some sleep" he whispered that's why the bed was cold he hadn't slept in it.

I nodded my head and gave him one last kiss.

" I need to run some errands" I announced crawling off of him and walking to the closet

" alright" he mumbled I could tell he was already sleeping I went into the bathroom and showered before changing into some casual gear and heading out the cottage.

I got out the car and walked into the grocery store we were low on food and I needed to shop. I grabbed me a grocery cart and went on with my shopping I was in the meat section when I saw someone I thought I wouldn't see in years.

" Kaylen is that you?" I heard I looked up from a oak of beef and saw an old friend, old friend as in and ex.

" Adam hey, how are you" I asked

" I'm good just moved back into town" he said he had his eyes all over me I felt a little uncomfortable since the reason we broke up is he cheated on me.

" same here moved in with my boyfriend" I explained mentioning Lucifer

" oh how long y'all been together?" he asked clearly not caring about Lucifer just wanting to chat.

" four years" I answered

" how did y'all meet?" he asked what's with all the damn questions!?

" at work" I didn't want to say oh I sold my soul to him and we fell in love with him.

" well it was nice seeing you again" I said wanted to leave he came from behind his cart and gave me hug I hesitated before hugging him back.

" yea it was nice" he replied he gave me a small smile before walking away

I breathe a sigh of relief and continued on with my shopping.

I loaded the heavy bags on the counter top in the kitchen and went down the hall to check on Lucifer he was sound asleep snoring slightly. I walked back into the kitchen and got out the stuff I was making for dinner.

" what's that smell?" I heard I jumped slightly and saw Lucifer in the archway of the kitchen walkway still in his boxers. I stirred the ground beef that was sizzling in the pan. I barely started cooking and he already smelt it.

" I'm making meat balls and pasta" I answered that was his favorite food the only human food he would eat.

" smells good" he answered coming up to me I grinned when he wrapped his arms around my waist it's been awhile since he's been lovey towards me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and breath in his sent he smelled so good he kissed the top of my head and whispered I love you in my ear before softly blowing on it something that turned me on completely. I leaned up and kissed him he responded quickly and pushed me against the counter I jumped slightly as he hoisted me up onto the counter him in-between my legs he licked my bottom lip asking for permission I gladly let him in. We fought for dominance and he let me in I moaned softly as I tangled my fingers in his long dark brown hair and tugged him closer to me he hands roamed all over my body they stopped at the him of my jeans slightly tugging at them he undid my belt and the button. I groaned slightly as he unzipped my pants and pushed his warm hands in them. Then the sizzling of the beef had gotten louder I pulled away from Lucifer and pulled his hand out my pants before jumping from the counter top the beef was alright I turned to Lucifer he had his famous smirk on his lips. I turned the stove off and grabbed his hand leading him to the bedroom.
