Chapter Four  

Kaylen's POV

I knocked nervously on the front door holding my bag secrely by my side. Then the giant door swung open and a man pale as the day is long, he had bright red eyes and a smug look on his face.

" may i help you?" he asked his voice was deep and my heart rate speed up.

" im looking for Lucifer" i said holding my head high and looking him in the eye.

" please come in" he said he spoke slowly like every word he wanted it to sink in your head.

i nodded and slowly walked into the home it smelled like ash and the underworld, it smelled interesting. The man closed the door behind me and stood next to me using his loud booming voice he called for Lucifer.

" Master Lucifer you have a guest" i jumped a little and looked at him he gave me no emotion on his face then slowlt walking away.

" who is it im entirely to busy--" his voice faded when he spotted me standing at the buttom of the stairs with a small smile on my face.

the look in his eye would scare anybody to death but i knew Lucifer wouldnt do anything to hurt me. His eyes changed from the bright red, to this dark gloomy color like he was murderous now i was scared.

" what are you doing here?" he asked his voice was dark and hard

" im here to help" i exclaimed excited

I followed Lucifer as he walked through his house I could tell he wasn't so happy about me being here but I didn't care I wanted to be with him and I 

" i cant believe you disobeyed me when i told you to stay home" he exclaimed he paced around the bedroom while i sat on the bed watching him.

" i mean this is the most stupidest thing you have everyu done Kaylen" he said

I didn't say anything to him instead I listened and starred at him

" are you finished?" I questioned he stopped pacing and starred at me with those glowing red eyes

He didn't respond instead I took clothes from my suitcase and found some empty draws and put them neatly in them making myself at home after I was finished with that I turned and same was sitting on the bed his head in his hands. I sighed and took his hands looking him in the eye I gently pushed on his chest making him lay down on the bed crawling ontop of him.

" don't stress yourself out that I'm here I can look after myself" I whispered in his ear

" you can't be here, this isn't earth this is the fucking underworld, you have to understand that" He explained seeming to calm down a bit

"this place doesnt seem so bad, I saw this cute little girl who I asked for directions how to get here, she didnt look so bad" I said

"oh really, she didnt look so bad?" he asked sitting up and taking me off of him he grabbed my hand and lead me to the window that overlooked the street he was on

He pointed to the little girl I've seen earlier

"you mean her?" he questioned I looked over his shoulder and saw the girl, but it wasnt the cute little girl I seen earlier, she grown fangs that went over her bottom lip, her eyes were big and black, her once beautiful brown hair was a disgusting grey color, her fingers were long and lengthy and at the tip were long finger nails. Then in a blink of an eye she was back to the little girl I've seen earlier.

"now, she didnt look like that earlier" I said as Lucifer walked away and to the dressers I had put my clothes in

He then started to take my clothes out and place them nearly back in the suitcase.

"you are going home" he said I marched over to him and grabbed his hand, he turned towards me. I shook my head. 

"no, Lucifer " I said I grabbed the side of his face and slowly molded my lips to his.

" let me stay and help" I whispered he slowly sat on the bed me standing in between his legs.

"you will become my shadow, you will never leave my side, you will not speak to anyone unless they go through me, do you understand?" he asked he was so serious his eyes were a dark red. I nodded my head and released his face.

"the one time you mess up you will be sent back to earth" he informed I nodded my head again and gave him a small smile.

I continued to unpack my clothes and put them neatly in the drawers. I could feel his hard eyes watching me. I turned around and saw his head was in his hands.

"Lucifer please" I said siting next to him

"dinner is probably ready we should head downstairs" he said grabbing my hand and leading me downstairs.

There in the dining room, was a luxurious dining table and food was already on it. It looked like what you would see in the movies. The man that opened the door for me was standing in the corner of the room whole men and women with a sickly grey skin served the rest of the food. Lucifer pulled out my chair and I took a seat while he took the empty chair across from me.

During dinner jot much words were spoken. We spoke about what we usually did of we were back home. Which again was jotting really just gossip. He spoke to me about how he felt about moving back home. Which wasn't good. After dinner he held onto my hand while the servers cleaned up. Turns out they are vampires and they live in the basement downstairs. And Orme, Lucifer's personal Butler has been with Lucifer since he was born. He guided me back up to his bedroom which had a attached bathroom that was like another master bedroom. Lucifer handed me my pajamas and towels that were already placed on the bed. He stood infront of me while I was standing in the doorway of the bathroom.

"you get cleaned up, and head to bed I won't be here when you fall asleep" he said grabbing get my hand.

"where are you going?" I asked concerned about him. Giving his hand a squeeze.

"I have business to handle, don't worry about me baby" he whispered he bent down and kissed me softly.

I closed the bathroom door after he left and started to wash up.

After I was finished in the bathroom it was about 11 so I turned off the lights, the shed of light only coming in from the moon. I sled under the covers of the bed and felt the cook chill. I pulled a pillow closer to me. I sighed softy and closed my eyes wandering about Lucfier.
