The White Pony

First Day Of School

When Lucky Star and Puffball were both six years old, their parents sent them to the Ponyville school so they could meet young ponies their age. Lucky Star was a little shy because he had rarely been out of the castle before and he was a little nervous about making friends.

"What's wrong with your face?" Puffball asked him as he saw the little prince freeze up.

"Puff, you and I both know that I am NOT used to being out of the castle." Lucky said.

"You know what? You just have to be confident and be friendly with the other ponies and soon they'll like you." Puffball said assuring his friend.

Lucky knew that he was right and he went on ahead to try and make friends. He approached a yellow Pegasus filly. She had a yellow and black mane and tail, she had a blue lightning bolt cutie mark. Lucky saw she was playing in the sand box,he took a deep breath and walked over to her.

"Hi." He said.

She looked up,"Hi." She said as she smiled at him.

He was happy that he was talking to her," My name is Lucky Star. What's your name?"

The yellow filly answered," My name is Shock Wave."

"That's a cool name." Lucky said as she stood up.

"Thanks." She said as Puffball approached.

Puffball leaned against Lucky and told him," See? It's not so hard."

Just then Shock Wave asked them,"Hey do you guys want to go play on the slide?"

They both nodded their heads and all three of them ran to the slide.

Then the three of them began playing together but then suddenly, two other ponies showed up looking very mean. One was a yellow filly,like Shock Wave, but she had a white mane and tail with a golden bell as her cutie mark. The other was a  gray colt with a little lighter,short, gray mane and tail with black rounded glasses and he had a silver bell for his cutie mark.

"Well,well Silver,what do we have here?" The yellow filly asked.

"I think we have three rule breakers!" The gray colt answered her.

Shock Wave made a mad face," we aren't breaking any rules, Golden Bell!" She shouted at them.

"Yes, you are! Who said that you could play on our slide?" The filly said to them.

Puffball stood up and shouted,"The playground slide is for everyone!"

"No, it isn't." The gray colt calmly answered him.

"Who are you guys, anyway?" Lucky asked them.

The two ponies looked at him,shocked, then at each other and back at Lucky. Then they both started laughing. "You must not be from Ponyville if you don't know who we are." The filly laughed.

"I am Silver Bell and this is my twin sister,Golden Bell." The colt said to them.

Shock Wave whispered to Puffball's and Lucky's ears," Those two are the biggest pain in the neck in entire school."

"We're standing right here you know and we can hear you." Golden Bell complained to her.

"I know, I think it's hilarious,the more you whine about it, the funnier it gets." Shock said laughing at them.

Just then the school bell rang and the ponies were going inside. The three new friends followed them inside while Golden and Silver were talking outside still.

"I think that blue Pegasus is Princess Twilight's son,right?" Silver Bell asked his sister.

Golden kept looking at the school," Yes, I think he is."

Silver looked at his sister,"let's go inside before we're tardy." He said while walking to the school.

Golden followed him, but was still thinking about Lucky Star and how she could get him back because he was playing on "her" slide. She then had an idea and she whispered something in her brother's ear that made him smile a wicked smile. When it was time for the little ponies to go back outside to play until their parents came, Silver Bell waited by the door for Puffball and Shock Wave to come out and Silver pushed Puffball into a mud puddle. Puffball landed in the puddle with a loud splat.

"Oops." Silver Bell said sarcastically.

Before Puffball or Shock Wave could even say anything,Lucky Star came out and saw his friend in the mud and helped him up as he asked him what happened.

"He pushed me on purpose!" Puffball said pointing at Silver Bell.

Silver just smiled and calmly said," No I didn't."

"Yeah, you did!" Shock said to him," I stood there and watched you do it!"

Just then Golden Bell showed up and asked Lucky if he was going to do anything to defend his friends. When he looked as though he was going to blow his stack,Puffball put his hoof on Lucky's shoulder and told him that they weren't worth it and they began to walk away. Just then Silver Bell threw a dodgeball at Lucky's head and laughed. Suddenly,Lucky looked livid,he was so angry that he looked like his eyes were made of fire and he threw the dodgeball back at him so hard, Silver Bell slightly dodged it but it singed his hair a little and then the dodgeball smashed through the school window. Everyone was completely shocked.

"Jeez Luck!" Puffball said to him as Lucky was taking huge breaths," Calm down!"

All Shock Wave could say was,"Dang!"

Puffball turned and saw his parents waving at him,so he turned to Lucky Star and asked," Hey, my parents are here, so do you want to come back to the castle with us?"

Before he could reply,Shock Wave said,"Castle? You guys live in a castle?"

Puffball responded,"No, Lucky lives in a castle. I live in Sugarcube Corner with my parents.I just visit Lucky sometimes." He explained.

Shock Wave couldn't contain her excitement."Wow Lucky! I didn't know that you were a prince!"

Lucky said to his best friend as he was walking away," You didn't ask me, Shock Wave and Thanks, but I'm going for a walk to cool down for a minute,I'll see you later Puff."

Lucky walked a short distance when, he didn't even realize, that he had wondered into his parents and he told them that he wanted to go home right away. Twilight took her son home and Flash followed behind them.
Lucky never wanted to go to Ponyville school again and at dinner,he never said a word. Twilight noticed and was concerned about her son.

"Lucky? Is there something you want to tell me and your father?" Twilight asked him.

"Some bullies were picking on Puffball and my new friend,so I got mad and threw a ball at them." Lucky said,a little embarrassed.

His mother continued on her dinner,"Well, maybe things will look better tomorrow,You'll see, but I am going to talk to the other parents and Ms. Cheerlie about what happened today."

Finished with his dinner,Lucky was going to his room,"Thanks,but I doubt that it will get any better."

Lucky went to his bedroom and cried until he fell asleep. Wondering what will happen tomorrow.
