The blizzard raged on as Match, Pen, and Teardrop struggled to move forward through the snowy and windy terrain. The chilling wind cut through their skin, making each step feel like a battle against nature's fury.
"Ugh, this is insane! How are we supposed to keep going like this!?" Match exclaimed, her teeth chattering from the cold.
"I know, it's like walking through a freezer!" Pen replied, shivering as he trudged through the deep snow.
Teardrop gestured towards a faint outline in the distance, signaling that she had spotted something. Squinting through the blinding snow, Match and Pen could make out the shape of a tent partially buried in the snow.
"Good eye, Teardrop! Let's check it out!" Match said, her voice filled with hope.
With their energy fading fast, they hurried towards the tent. It was a small, worn-out structure, but it offered some protection against the harsh weather.
"Alright! Quick, we're going in," Pen announced, unzipping the tent's entrance.
They crawled inside, and the sound of the howling wind immediately dulled to a soft hum. The warmth inside the tent was a welcome relief from the biting cold.
"We need to stay here until the blizzard passes," Pen said, huddling closer to Match for warmth.
"Yeah- Wait, why are you getting closer to me?" Match asked Pen
"To have warm of course? What... What else do you think?" Pen replied surprised. He even blushed a little, although, it was barely noticeable.
Match looked away from Pen, "Nothing much..."
Teardrop looked at the both of them, feeling that there's something going on between the two. She pulled out her notepad and showed it to Match and Pen, telling them that they should take a moment to rest. They sat down, catching their breath, and trying to warm their frozen fingers.
Pen just couldn't handle the silence. He looked over to Match, "You know, in a strange way, this blizzard brought us closer together," Pen said with a smile.
Match grinned slightly, "Hmm, Yeah... Like, who knew being stuck in a tent during a snowstorm would be the perfect setting for romance?"
Teardrop smiled from the conversation, finding amusement in the situation, and being glad that they're both getting a long.
As the hours passed, they shared stories, laughter, and even a few embarrassing moments. Match and Pen couldn't help but feel a deep connection growing between them, one that went beyond friendship.
The crackling of the small campfire they had managed to light filled the silence outside the tent. Match fidgeted with her fingers, hesitating to speak what was on her mind.
Pen noticed her shyness and looked at her, encouraging her to open up. "Match, what's wrong? Is... There something else you want to say, Match?"
Teardrop, who was busy making sure the campfire was lit up, decided to stop and look at the two of them, curious on what's going on.
Match hesitated at first, blushing. Match took a deep breath and got the confidence to finally say it. "Well, um... it's just that... I like, really like you, Pen."
Pen smiled, acting like he was innocent, "Oh? Well, that's nothing bad...! I really like you too!"
"N-No... Like, ugh, like, more as a friend..." Match replied to Pen, wanting him to understand what she meant.
Pen finally realized, and his eyes lit up with delight, but he didn't want to rush her. He then started to blush, "O-Oh! I... I didn't know that! Well, uh, I... Like you, too, Match."
