The date is March 18th now. There's has been more strange occurrences within the town, none more disturbing than the disappearances of all of the victims of the attack that night.
The body of the deceased still haunts me and my dreams, almost foreshadowing more happenings of the like. I came to discover the victims were missing when I went back to their places of residence for an interview or insight into what happened, and nobody answered. As I became worried, I asked Sheriff Black for help entering their properties, a total of three to be exact.
My findings were uniform in nature, each house having blood within the bed and strange, thick yellow liquid spread across the floor, similar to the stuff that oozed from the deceased body. There were no signs of forced entry, so murder or foul play was out of the question, however, there were signs of forced... exit? This left me many questions, and even less answers.
That was until I took a report from an individual who witnessed what seemed to be a suicide that day in a location that was closed to the public, including me. It was nothing too unusual at first. What he mentioned and described made my heart sink and mind race. I will explain it from his point of view.
I was waiting for my train as usual, I do so once per month, as I visit my family two towns over. That's when I noticed something in my peripheral vision, a woman standing on the other side of the tracks, quite a distance away, she was stood awkwardly, arms outstretched and what seemed to be long, slender and sharp nails protruding from her fingers. I was a little creeped out at that point. That's when I was distracted by the whistle of a train coming into station, when I looked back, within a fraction of a second, this woman had closed a distance of well over 30 metres as she headed toward the track. I shouted to her to stop as the train was coming, she didn't acknowledge my calls, and began to run faster than my mind could process, I became scared in that moment, as I began to make out more precise details. She was covered in blood, boils over her body, squirting thick, yellow liquid with what seemed to be the beat of her heart. She was drooling, as if hungering for my flesh. She screamed as she leaped about half a meter from the floor towards me, I closed my eyes, but that's when I heard a splatter, and as I re-opened my eyes, I was showered in blood, guts and hair. Mutilated body parts stretched across the platform, arms, legs and pieces of torso were layed out along the floor. I don't even know how to describe it. Fingers were wiggling like worms, and the long nails I described, shattered like glass. Lawmen quickly surrounded the area. Only a few people seen what actually happened. I truly believe that evil has been bestowed upon this town. That's why I'm leaving.
"I suggest you do too." - He said to me.
Of course I refused. This could be the biggest break through of my career, however dangerous or terrifying it may be, I need to stay. If worst comes to worst, the law of the town will protect me. I will continue to update this Journal with events following the first incident in hopes of having this published and instating my career as a journalist.
I would like to thank Sheriff Black yet again, and the stranger I met who gave his account of the incident at the train station. I think I'm going to start labelling these incidents, and see how far the rabbit hole goes with this one. For now, I'm going to get some rest.
#incident number 2. - Two potentially affected residents still missing.
