chapter 2 The missing patrol

it has been days since the last clan meeting but the rivers of their clan wasn't normal the water was barely even there the fish gone the clan survived off of the prey they had left tho it wasn't much at all some warriors didn't even eat some went out on hunting patrols and failed to being back even the smallest of prey no birds no mise no fish nothing was there cats would complain to Emerald ' star and she would always say 'don't give up' but why would they not give up hope there was no water no prey nothing at all the herbs were dying so the wounded couldn't even get the right care

it's been a while after the loss of Light ' Skies but Frost ' Pebble continues her duties as a Deputy but one day while Frost ' pebble was calling patrols ''Rose ' Finder , Jay ' bird ,and sand ' seeker you three will being on a border patrol by thunder clan while i , silver ' storm and river ' tail go on a hunting patrol '' as she finished speaking chervil ' Paw spoke from the middle of the clearing of camp ''Can i go to pleaseeeeeee'' he begged Frost ' Pebble She shook her head '' No chervil ' paw not this time'' chervil ' Paw spoke again ''but Frost ' Pebble Emerald ' Star hasn't given me a mentor and i need training so patrols are perfect for it!'' again Frost ' Pebble spoke ''no Chervil ' paw not this time'' chervil 'paw nodded looking down at the ground Chervil ' Paw spoke up ''fine i'll stay in camp'' as he rolled his eyes Frost ' Pebble nodded walking off with the rest of the patrol as the hunting patrol started to hunt as the do normally Frost ' Pebble came across a familiar smell a smell she thought she won't smell this strong as she froze in place fear cover any other emotion she had but something in made her slowly step forward step by step as she took her last step her eyes glazed over all the bodies...so many dead bodies so much blood so much gore some cats not even from river clan but loners even rouges... there fear in her eyes nothing made her fear this much as Frost ' Pebble looked up a dark figure is standing there not saying a word but more like a spell a curse? she didn't know what to think about as she tried gathering what strength she had left to speak but only whispers coming from her you could barely hear what she said four work spoken ''D-Dead bodies everywhere so-'' Frost ' Pebble gets cut by her passing out warriors gathered around her until a firm voice could be heard from behind the warriors that gathered by Frost ' Pebble's unconscious body it was the medicine cat Tinted ' Ear ''Get off of her all that gathering by her is not help her wake up'' he said pushing pass the warriors to get to Frost ' Pebble as Tinted ' Ear got to Frost ' Pebble she began to exam her body for any wounds or or cuts as she exam her body closer he began you see her fur in some spots aren't hers it was like another cat had brushed their fur on to her body Tinted ' Ear soon realized that the fur on Frost ' Pebble's body and wasn't hers it wasn't from anyone from river clan no one had this type of dark fur not this dark at least a couple hours passed by frost ' Pebble stated to wake up from blacking out but she soon realized that that patrol she sent by thunder clan has not come back to camp after 4 hours she started to get really worried as night fell the sky dark the stars barely could be seen though the thick grey clouds the only light hat was given was the moon light as she slowly got up from her nest she looked around the silent camp as lost of the members of the clan were sleep or out on the night patrols she slowly walked out of the den feeling a weird feeling of someone watching her as she looked for something someone that was maybe watching her or maybe even stalking her tho she couldn't see anything though the cloudly sky she signed walked up to the med den hoping that the med cat was maybe still awake as she stood in front of the med den she took a deep breath in walking in to the med den as her head getting lower to the ground a deep feeling of fear washed though her body as in the corner of her eye a pair of bright red eyes glowed her ears pinned down to her head her tail lashing from left to right the pair of eyes the only thing she could see spoke ''may this night be a reminder to not go near the forest'' as those words came out Frost ' Pebble tried to speak move anything she tried to do she couldn't it was like her body was frozen there unable to move speak scream attack or anything  the red eyes started to from a body it wasn't clear what type of body the only thing Frost ' Pebble see is a large black body with a pair of bright red eyes coming out from the bushes the spirit seen to belong to the darkforest a soft cherped voice could be heard calling Frost ' Pebble's name ''Frost ' Pebble! Frost ' Pebble?'' chervil 'paw called out Frost ' Pebble snaped out of that frozen state she turned her head to look at chervil ' paw and spoke ''Chervil ' paw? what are you doing up this late at night?'' she asked ''oh i uh heard a weird noise so i got up and checked it out and saw you standing there'' he answered back... :D
