The shadow crest empire, one of the most prosperous and beautiful empire of the continent is said to be blessed by the gods. It's history runs deep in the roots of the land. It is said the land is blessed by the goddess of life herself.

There is a legend in the empire that says that, the goddess of life once fell down from heaven during the celestial war. She fell deep in the forest. It was then a group of woodcutters passing by saw her and helped her, unknown of the fact who she was.

To repay the human's kindness, the goddess of life blessed them each with powers of some elements.

The emberblaze duchy of fire, The stormhead duchy of wind and lastly the glacera duchy of ice. Above these all is the royal family, with the power of controlling these.

Among all these duchies, the glacera duchy is said to be the most wealthy and powerful which hold the authority equal to the emperor.

But great powers comes with great consequences...

For the people of glacera these powers are nothing more than a mere curse... as the time passes by, the overuse of these powers will slowly end up freezing the user's heart causing them to die at young age...

A young girl ran after her pet with her tiny footsteps. She didn't seemed to be more than 7 year old. "Wait! Tara come back!" She called out.

"Tara come back!" She stopped by the small pond of the imperial palace's garden trying to catch up her breathe while panting.  Suddenly she felt something soft being brushed against her leg, it was her pet tara. "Oh god tara... you exhausted me." She smiled and took her in her arms again.

"Now shall we get goin-!" Before she could turn back, her steps slipped causing her to fall in the pond. Before she fell she threw away her pet aside to save her. "Tara-!!"

She was drowning... her whole body had stopped working... it felt... suffocating. And scary.

"Hey!!" She woke up beside a young boy with dazzling purple hairs with a hint of pink in between, and a bright shade of yellow highlights with that purple. His image was blurry but she could see his hair colour.

She coughed out a bit while water dripped down her dress and hairs. "I.. i can't see anything..." she muttered in a scared voice. "Maybe... maybe something got in my eyes..."

"Hey are you okay?!" That boy said while giving her his handkerchief. "I am fine..." she gently took his hanky and wiped away water from her face. His image was still blurry but his voice was kind of raspy and calming but he sounded nothing more than 9 or 10.

"Tara..." she panicked a bit when she didn't found her pet near her. "W-where is tara?.." she asked. It was when she felt that same fur against her hand. "Tara! Here you are." She took her pet in her arms. "Is this... a dog?.." the boy asked. "No.. tara is a mountain wolf."

"What?! A mountain wolf!" His voice was filled with surprise as he backed off a bit. "Don't worry tara only hurt people who hurt us." She asked as the young wolf played in her lap while getting caressed by her master. "How...how old is she?" She heard the boy. "Oh tara, She is 4 months old right now." She answered immediately.

"Oh wait yes!" She quickly took off her hairpin which had a blue sapphire on it, it was a pair, it looked expensive. "Thank you so much for saving me, please accept this gift." She said bowing her head a little while handing him one of the pin. "Wait i don't need this-" before he could protest she gave him the puppy eyes. "Okay.. i don't think it will hurt to accept it..."

"Thank you so much!" She exclaimed happily. "Wait we didn't introduced each other! What is your name?!" She suddenly asked. "Oh.. i... i am.. i am sh-" before he could tell hed someone's voice cutted them off.

"My lady!! Where are you?!"

It was her caretaker nanny. "Oh it seems it is my nanny!" "My lady!!" The nanny quickly hugged her. "Where were you?! How are you wet?! What happened to you?!" She was now stuck in her nanny's question whirlpool.

"Nanny i fell in the pond and this boy saved me" she pointed to her back but there was no one there. "Where is he my lady? There is no one there.."

"What?... he was here some seconds ago i swear!" She exclaimed while rubbing her eyes. "Nanny i can't see anything properly and my head hurts as well." The little lady hugged her nanny's leg.

"Oh my lady.. let's change your clothes first. His grace is waiting for you, for departure as well." Her nanny took her in her arms. She rested her head on the nanny's shoulder.

"My lady where is your hairpin?"

"I gave it to the angel..."
