"I wish to make a deal with you.. shu yamino.."

It was the words that made him froze right at his place and wonder if his ears were working well or his mind just made a mistake interpreting what she said. "Can you please repeat what you said, your grace?" He asked rather politely but with a confused voice. "A deal?" He looked at her with confusion yet cautiousness.

"You have heard me right." She laid back on the couch. "and I really... Really hope that the sorcerer won't turn me down." She smirked and looked at him with her ferocious beast like eyes. Shu gulped, "is the Duchess threatening me?" "Or then think of it as a threat. So answer me. Is it a deal or a death?" Her voice was impatient.

Shu looked up at her eyes and after some moment of consideration he sighed and nodded. "Firstly I would like to listen to what you have." She smiled and nodded.

"As the sorcerer is aware that the inherited disease of Glacera is an extremely deadly one and I don't think I have much time left." Her face turned expressionless, no fury, no sadness but a bit of acceptance. "But i know something that can keep me alive for a bit more." She looked at him. "I need your knowledge and power. I want you to make me a potion that can provide heat that my heart needs for the time being from stopping it from freezing."

He narrowed his eyes and looked at her. "what would I gain from making this deal work?" He asked in a bit demanding yet curious tone with a sly smile looking at her. "I will give you what others desire the most. Power, the most elite one." His eyes widened a bit but then turned into a curious smirk. "Oh power? I am afraid that the curiosity to know about this power is growing." He started playing with a small jewel in his hands.

"Well, expected." She stood up. "I will become the emperor. I want the throne. And to do that, I need you sorcerer shu yamino." Her voice was like a command, surprisingly commanding enough to make shu obey her. "Once I become the empress I will make you my emperor consort, bit ofcourse I won't just make it for this." She took out some paperwork from the inside pocket of her coat.

"If you say yes to become my Duke consort and my partner in this alliance, I will give you the mana stone mine of the north and you know how much value it hold in the market and for you." She came main to the point she knew that once he gets his hand on these there will be no way he would turn this opportunity down because the mana stone is the most essential and valuable thing to him

"I am deciding to give you some time for the time being, I hope the sorcerer won't let me down." She said before exiting that room.

There was something about this woman that made shu only curious to know more. Her voice was confident and bold enough to tear through thousands desperate cries of others, her eyes were determined with the greed to become elite. This was what others lacked when they came to ask him for support and power. She was different and that was what dragged him towards her even more.
