[Ran out of money, send some back]

Lisa quietly looked at the text for a while before putting her thesis aside. She got out of bed and raised her phone, saying, "I'm going out to make a call."

Somi and Mina were too busy quarreling with each other to hear her, but Rosé, who was sitting in her seat occupied with her laptop, nodded in her direction and said, "Go on."

Lisa walked to a secluded corner of the staircase and dialed. The call was answered quickly, as if the person on the other end was waiting for her.

"Didn't I just send you money recently?" Lisa pressed her back against the wall, keeping an eye on her surroundings, her voice low.

Her stepmother, Susan, replied in a loud voice, "How long ago was the last time? It's not like you don't know your brother is at the age where he needs more money. His teacher says he should sign up for a summer camp, other kids are going, he can't lose out at the starting line."

Lisa kept her silence for a moment, pursing her lips. "How much?"

Susan unreasonably demanded, "One million."

Lisa pressed her toes against the base of the wall and laughed to herself, lowering her head. "Is he going abroad then? Is one million even enough?"

Susan evasively replied, "Something like that," before impatiently saying, "Anyway, quickly send me the money, it needs to be handed in tomorrow."

Lisa hummed, "Take a picture of the summer camp fees for me."

Upon hearing that, Susan immediately changed her tone and scolded, "You earn so much money, what's it to you to give your brother a little more, how are you so petty..."

"Say another word of rubbish and you won't get a single yuan," Lisa interrupted plainly.

Susan hung up, grumbling.

Lisa took her phone with her back to her dormitory room. As she was climbing back onto her bed, her phone vibrated. Once she settles in her bed, she opened her notifications to see that Susan had sent a picture of the summer camp fees.

Nowadays, raising a child is getting harder and harder, the expenses climbing higher and higher. If you want your child to receive a prestigious education, you have to start when the child is an infant. This summer camp takes place abroad, and the cost is so high that it's scary, from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands.

Lisa swept her eyes over the fee schedule a few times and planned to transfer Susan the money using the most expensive option as the standard.

Just as she opened the bank transfer page, the call interface popped up on her phone again.

Susan. -- Feeling agitated, Lisa went out again to pick up the call.

Rosé glanced at her hastily, disappearing back thoughtfully.

"What do you want now?" Lisa suppressed her temper, answering the phone in a low voice.

"Big Sister." Unexpectedly, it was a little boy's voice, bright and tender.

Knitting her brows together, Lisa asked, "Leo?"

The little boy replied, "It's me." He lowered his voice and said, "Mom's gone to take a shower, so I secretly used her phone to call you."

Lisa gradually relaxed her expression and in a warmer tone said, "Why did you call me?"
