Chapter 8

Ayden's point of view:
I don't know when I fell asleep but when I woke up I was asleep in Jake's arms and we were both sitting up, I wiggled out of his arms to check the time, 1:04 a.m
Man it was really early and it was saturday so we didn't have to go to school. I got up and changed into some pajamas and then layed Jake down somehow to what looked like a comfortable position, then I climbed into bed under the covers,
Ayden, I'm sorry I just... I cut him off,
I know it's okay, you don't have to apologize, I would have done the same thing if I were you,
Then why did you scream and run out when I looked up at you?
Be...because your...your eyes were black and last time they were black you flung me across the room,
Ayden, I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you, I swear I'll never hurt you like that again, trust me
Okay I muttered before turning my back towards him, I trusted him, I felt movement on the bed and then his arms wrapped around me and he kissed my cheek,

Jake's point of view:
I couldn't sleep, even though I wasn't a human anymore I still slept, but now I couldn't and it was already 5:00 in the morning, I had awhile until Ayden woke up. I got up and started pacing across the room, back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth.
Jake?
Huh? Ayden? What are you doing up?
I heard a lot of movement and I don't know I guess it woke me up I walked over to him and crawled back into bed,
I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you,
No it's fine, but why we're you pacing back and forth?
I couldn't sleep...
You could've woke me up, come here,
I didn't wanna bother you I said as I crawled over to him and sat by him,
I wouldn't have minded, Jake he said as he curled into my lap and rested his head on my chest, I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head in the crook of his neck,
Try to get some sleep Jake. Before I knew it I suddenly felt sleepy.
Ayden's point of view:
7:09am
It was still to early to be up so I got up out of Jake's lap layed him down and crawled under the covers all without waking him this time and dozed off. I woke up with a jolt, I was having a nightmare and I guess I must have woken Jake up too because I felt his arms around me,
Ayden? are you okay?
Huh? What? Yeah...yeah I'm fine, I was just having a nightmare, but I'm fine now,
Do you wanna talk about it or just go back to sleep? I crawled into his lap for the third time this night,
I just wanna go back to sleep I snuggled up against him,
Are you cold? He chuckled
Yeah a little bit I said as I pushed up against him even more, he wrapped the blankets around me and layed us both down as I still pressed up against him trying to steal some of his body heat.
You really are cold huh? Your pressed up against me like I'm the last bit of warmth in the world he chuckled, I punched him in the arm,
Shut up its not funny, and yes it does seem like your the last bit of warmth in the world I tried to get closer to him but I couldn't I was already the closest I could get so I wrapped my arms and legs around him and put my head in the crook of his neck, there I was finally warm enough to be able to fall asleep without freezing my butt off. He kissed the top of my head and whispered good night, and luckily somehow I dozed off.
