Adelaide walks into the room behind spencer as he retreats into the corner. Gideon stood checking over the files he had just received. this was the first case with the unit chief as she had only joined four months prior, so she wanted to look like she fit in with the team. She was dressed in her normal white blouse with the first two buttons undone, black trousers that fits around her hips and waist with a straight legs, small black heels that added a couple of inches to her height. Her gun sat in her shoulder holster which was concealed by the black blazer she wore, her badge on her left side and her FBI ID clipped to her blazer pocket. Her blonde hair was left down passing her shoulders.
"I'll look the case file over and get some thoughts to you ASAP." Gideon says looking at the second page of the file.
"You're going to be with us in Seattle ASAP." Hotch retaliates whilst walking into the room with Morgan. Gideon puts his head slightly down to glance at hotch above his glasses. Putting the file down with one hand, removing his glasses with the other, taking a step forward when Morgan shows him a picture of the woman missing.
"Twenty-two year old Heather Woodland." Morgan addresses as he takes a step back to allow Hotch to speak.
"Before she left for lunch she downloaded an email with a time delayed virus attached, the killer's virus wiped her hard-drive and left this on the screen." He hands him the photo containing the message.
'For heavens sake catch me before I kill more I cannot control myself For heavens sake catch me before I kill more I cannot control myself For heavens sake catch me before I kill more I cannot'
Gideon makes eye contact with Hotch then turns in a rush towards a wall filled with newspaper articles reciting the message aloud. On the wall, a framed photo with those exact words written on a bedroom wall hung with the name William Heirens, the lipstick killer 1945 below.
"He never keeps them for more than seven days which means we have fewer than thirty-six to find her." Hotch explains as the older man turns to look at the agents in the room, Morgan stood to the right, a step behind hotch. Adelaide and Spencer look at him while leaning on the cupboards, Spencer having his hands in his pocket and Adelaide playing with a simple silver ring on her left index finger.
Thoughts ran through Adelaide's mind , why keep them for seven days? Why would he wait so long to kill the women and dump their bodies?
"They want you back in the saddle. You ready?" Morgan questions still having the file in his hand.
"Looks like medical leaves over boss." Spencer adds standing up from the cupboards nudging Adelaide to do the same, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"You're sure they want me?" Gideon inquires still not believing he was ready to go back into the field.
Hotch gives him a nod while a small smiles appears on his face, "The order came from the director."
He looks back towards the photo on the wall "Then we better get started."
____________
Wrapped up in Spencer's FBI jacket Adelaide sat next to the young doctor as he began reading the details of the file, with Hotch on the seat opposite them and Morgan and Gideon stood leaning over the seats behind them.
"His first victim was twenty-six year old Melissa Kirsch. Stab wounds, strangulations-"
Morgan interrupts him quickly, "Back up, back up, he stabbed her... then strangled her to finish her off?" He asks in a creeped out tone.
