"There you are Ruby!.... Are you okay?" Uncle Brill says in a concerned tone. His eyes brimming with sympathy. Why is he looking at me like that.. He doesn't even know what happend.. Yet
"I'm fine Uncle Brill" Am i fine? *Sigh* "Look kid, I know you aren't feeling like the greatest kraken right now. But I was hoping I could talk with you for a second." Talk? In a situation like this.
"Please tell me what's wrong Ruby" I turn to look at Uncle Brill... and suddenly the words start falling out of my mouth.
"I ruined everything! I thought Chelsea was my best friend but oh wait! turns out she was the Mermaid Queen's daughter! and now they have the Trident of Oceanus because I gave it to them! And mom is in trouble and the whole town is in trouble and-" "Ruby" "My friends hate me! and they will never-" "Ruby " "Forgive me for ditching them when i was still in school-" "RUBY!" Uncle Brill has never screamed like that at me
"Sorry for screaming but Ruby just breathe, In and out" He said. "In and out" I repeat. As Uncle Brill said, I try to breathe in and out. 4 second in, 4 second out just like mom taught me to do when I panic. *huf* " I feel better, thank you" I say to my uncle. "It is okay to make mistakes Ruby" "A kraken is allowed to make mistakes." "It's normal." He said in a calm manner. "Now let's go save your mom and my sister" He looks at me with an expectant look.
I can do this. I can and will save both my mom and Chelsea.
"Let's go Uncle brill" I start swimming as fast as I can.
