Chapter 1: Where Am I?

Author's Note: Decided to do this Young Justice Fanfiction a little differently to the original version of the fanfiction I made on Quotev. Some of the chapters are based around the events of the show Young Justice so I don't know if this should be a spoiler warning for if you haven't seen the show. I don't own any of the pictures but I made the cover in MS Paint. Also made this story from off the top of my head and I don't own either DC or Young Justice. Hope you guys like this story.

"This Is The Worst Birthday Ever. How could you have done this?" Teo shouted. Trying to control her temper. "We are the parents so we make the rules and have the final say...you ungrateful brat" her dad said making her be on the verge of seeing red. All while her mum stayed silent and her brother Jack seemed to scowl a little bit at the parents as well. "You guys are such a pain. I'm going to bed" the brunette said before she stormed off to her bedroom and tried not to slam the door to her bedroom closed. Hearing her brother say "You two are unbelievable" before she thought she heard her mum tell him to shut up. All as she went up the stairs of the two story semi dethatched house. Teo had just turned 15 and she thought that her birthday was going to be great. Knowing it would be the last one before her sweet 16th. Her mind already being filled with how she dreamed her birthday to go. She started her morning routine with a shower and woke up more as the warm water fell on her. Until her parents and brother came into the bathroom and her dad threw a jug of cold water onto her. Making her scream in shock. But still be thankful that the steam covering the glass shower door had her get some kind of privacy. When she got to school things started to get slightly worse when her science teacher gave the class homework. Telling everyone to write an 800 word essay on electricity. The teacher got a few boos and grumbles but she said that she didn't care even if it was someone's birthday that day. 

As Teo sat in her room she grumbled to herself. Looking out at the night sky as the rain poured down until she heard a knock at her bedroom door that was faint. "Who is it?" the brunette asked. Her brother answering that it was him before he asked if she was okay. "No" the brunette replied as she glanced at her school bag and saw her science book for homework laying out. Still sticking to her mental rule of there being no homework being done on her birthday. Still having no desire to break her own rule. "I know that today sucked Teo and I really do feel sorry for you...but on the plus side. Today still isn't over yet" Jack said before adding she might see her favourite superheroes on TV if she was really lucky. Then finally joking that the justice league were going to hear how bad things went today and ban her parents from organising her next birthday party. Earning a small giggle before her brother said that she could do whatever she wanted to calm down. No matter how childish and then went to his own bedroom. Although she felt a little better thanks to her brother's words. Her mind was still mainly at rage thanks to her parents and she decided to go outside and get some air. The brunette put on an orange hoody. Going well with her jeans and white sneakers with glittery stars. Having gotten out of her school uniform hours ago and decided to write a note for her brother. Saying that she would be back in a while. And put the rest of her idea in motion. Once outside she kept her hood up to somewhat shield her hair from the rain including  her teddy bear she wanted to take with her for company.

"This is all their fault" Teo thought. Thinking back to what her parents had done for her birthday after she came home from school. The brunette still hearing her dad's words replay in her mind and made her start to see red again. "Teunis. Get Back Here Now!!!" she thought she heard her mum yell and she growled just wanting to be left alone for a little bit longer. Knowing that her mum only called her Teunis instead of Teo whenever she was angry. "I better go back...Not. Jack said I could do whatever so he shouldn't have made the suggestion to me" Teo grumbled. Imagining the look on her mum's face before she got a little distracted. She then thought she heard something strange and decided to run back home but her hood fell down and she slipped in some mud. The brunette yelped in fear but before she landed on the ground. It strangely felt completely dry. But her head felt sore as the top of her head made contact with a rock. She rubbed her eyes and then saw that she was in an underground tunnel of sorts with what looked like eggs of some kind. Making part of her brain wonder if she somehow ended up on the set of a horror movie. Some of the eggs then started to make a strange sound and began to glow a haunting red making her start to become afraid. Her mind soon telling her to run and she did just that. The alien eggs started to burst open and grey aliens came out making her run even faster. She felt something slowly come down her face but she didn't dare want to know. Only wanting to escape and not end up as alien food. Imagining if she screamed things would only get worse. But her fears kept increasing until she finally broke.

"Somebody Please Help Me....I Don't Wanna Die" Teo cried. Thinking of her little brother, her friend she was neighbours with until she moved away and even her family's dog from when she was 3 years old. Imagining that now she was done for sure and going to be alien food in mere moments. Larger creatures that looked like they could squash her like an insect appeared making her try to avoid them but she soon tripped on a rock and started to fall. She closed her eyes thinking this was the end. But she quickly felt strong warm arms catch her. Saving her from falling face first into the rocks and dirt. Suddenly someone else showed up seemingly out of nowhere and angrily fought back against one of the large creatures. Sending one of them flying. But she didn't see their face. "Wow. Hey. It's okay. We're here now...this place is just full of surprises" someone in a yellow and red suit said. Holding onto her and then noticed the injury that she had on her head. "What's going on?" Teo cried as she tried but still failed miserably at holding back her tears. Feeling what felt like blood still coming down her head. "Superboy. The goal is to escape. Not to bury ourselves" a second voice said and she looked up to see the faces of the boy who caught her and a boy with white hair and gills on his neck. "YOU WANT ESCAPE!!!" the guy who was fighting back against the large alien boomed. Clearly enraged before he threw one of the larger creatures into two other ones. Knocking them over like bowling pins and even landing on top of some of the smaller ones. The boy with black hair and a white looking kind of suit then went to what looked like doors to an elevator and ripped them open without breaking a sweat. As if the metal was no stronger then flimsy cardboard and a forth person came into her view. The five of them then got to an upper floor and started to run again seeing more of the smaller creatures not that far behind them all. The forth person saying to the others as they ran that it looked like she needed medical help very quickly after everything going on already. 

"Please don't leave me behind here. I'm begging you guys" Teo cried as she struggled to keep up. Fearing they would leave her for being the slowest of them all. "No we won't" the forth guy said. His outfit making her brain start to put pieces of a puzzle together on who she was with. But fear for the creatures was only making her become distracted.  But she thought it was familiar as the forth guy looked a bit younger then her. His outfit having a black cape with something that was red and even had a letter R on it. The boy in the white suit told them where to run and they soon ended up in a hallway away from the creatures. "I hacked the motion sensors. We should be okay for a little bit. But I think out of all of us you should be the top priority" The forth guy said looking at the brunette and she tried to stop the bleeding from her head with the sleeve of her hoodie. "This is a birthday I really won't forget. I think I might recognise two of you guys" Teo said. Before she took out her teddy and tried not to suck her thumb like a toddler. "Happy birthday babe. I'll ask for your name later so I can give you a birthday card" the guy who caught her said with a small smile. Making her do so back before she suddenly recognised that the forth guy was Robin. Sidekick to the dark knight himself who was one of the four with her. Teo was about to say something. But the boy in red and yellow picked her up bridal style and said he would get her out to a hospital the fastest. Telling her to try and keep pressure on her injury before Robin put her teddy back in her hoody pocket. She nodded her head and soon the two of them were going up flights of stairs really quickly. "I think we're gonna make it...wait is this guy who I think he might be?" Teo thought as they got to the last floor below street level. But strong metal doors started to close. "Oh no" he muttered before the two of them crashed into the metal doors hard. Him being okay. But everything for her went black.
