I enter homeroom, sitting down while taking in my classmates. I knew pretty much all of them, all except for one girl who looked to be new seated in the back of the class.

"Good-morning Seniors!" Mr. Arv roared as he entered the classroom, brief case in hand. He took a seat at his desk, filling out the attendance as a chorus of "here" came from different people in the class.

"Kaitlyn Lister?" He calls.

"Here," I add before realizing everyone is staring at me.

What the hell?, I thought, looking around as everyone had either a scowl on their face, a shocked look or a weirdly friendly smile.

I looked back to the board as my classmates did the same, listening to the announcements.

"Welcome to another exciting year at Queen Elizabeth!," the loud speaker blasted.

The thing went on to explain a list of activities that would be starting this week as I tuned out.

"And last but not least, running club!" I perked up at this, i had been a running long distance since freshman year, when i admittedly had only done it to lose weight. Not that it worked, but i still love it.

The announcements went on as i heard woops coming from some of the boys in my class, guessing that it was over some sport.

I smiled and glanced around, watching as some guys high fived each other.

My attention turned to the back of the classroom, where the new girl was sitting. I stared at her feet, converse. I slowly made my way up, taking in her slightly ripped jeans, some sort of band t-shirt under her blazer.

Really, the one day we don't have to wear a uniform, she wears part of the uniform?!

I move on to see an infinity necklace with something written in it, trying to squint to see it. Deciding i can't, i work my way up to my face.

I look up to meet dark brown eyes staring right back at me, gaze locked on mine. She continues to stare as i give her the best creeped out look i can come up with, it not being that hard considering how weird that was.

I turn back to the board just as the bell rings for first period. I collect my math books and stand up, sneaking a glance at the new girl, seeing her get up and grab her books, all the while practically burning holes in my back with her stare.

Seriously, what the heck is this girls problem?!, I think as I walk out of the classroom and join the sea of students heading for second period.

"Thats her?!"

"Ya, Kaitlyn something"

I hear voices say from all around me. I look around questioningly, noticing some people have turned their attention my way, whispering with there friends.

This school has officially lost it, I think as I duck into math class. The desks were set up in pairs, meaning i would be sitting with someone. Deciding against pretty much all of the class, consisting mostly of only populars and nerds, I sit beside a girl i don't recognize, realizing she must be new.

"Can I sit here," i ask through a smile.

"Ya defiantly," she says, returning the smile as I take a seat.

"Kaitlyn Lister"

"Grace Goliger"

"Pretty. You new here?"

"Ya, actually"

"Well, your welcome to hang with me and my friends anytime!"

"Thanks, i might just do that"
