Chapter 4

ASH'S POV

"Ash, get you ass down here right now or else I swear to god you'll live on the side of the street!" My mom yelled at me from the kitchen. Yay, another happy morning at llittle ole Ashy's house. Fun.

"What is it mother of mine?" I try saying in the nicest way possible to hopefully make her nicer. It was a horrible attempt, but at least I tried.

"Shut up with the cute talk. Take this and I better see your face leaving for school within the next five minutes." She said oh so sweetly to me while handing me a piece of burnt toast. She actually tried this morning. I guess it's better than the usual moldy, stale piece of plain bread. Maybe this one was extra moldy.

I ran back upstairs and the away the toast while getting dressed for school. I decided on wearing my black skinny jeans, Asking Alexandria shirt, and an All Time Low beanie. Along with my everyday bracelets and my Taurus necklace. I finished it off with some gray converse and a doodled-on black binder then ran downstairs running out the for in far that my mom had broken glass ready to be "accidentally" thrown at me, not caring where they went.

She did it before, I believed her at first but realized while sitting in the nurse's office at school that it couldn't be an accident that the was thrown in the air. Not to mention that it was somehow broken before it hit me.

I got on the bus to reach my school, picking the seat farthest from everyone else, not like they want to be around me either. Once I reached my usual seat I slumped down and put on my headphones.

In the middle of Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots I was talked on the solder by someone beside me. Talking off my headphones, I turned to the strange person that actually wanted to talk to me. Nah, they probably wanted to tell me I'm a fag and that I should just kill myself now.

Finally looking up at the stranger, I realize that is just a girl that looks kinda like me. I haven't seen her before though, maybe she's new.

"Hi, I'm Raven. I'm pretty sure we've gone to school together for a while now, considering we have to ride the same bus. I... um... Recently had to move into a new house, causing me to take the bus now. I thought I could sit and possibly talk with you, if you don't mind." She said sweetly.

She seemed sad and a little scared about something, I don't really know what though. I just know that for once it wasn't me. I want to know more about her. I need to. You can see it in her eyes, she's broken and she needs someone to patch her back up.

I hope I can be the perfect thread to stitch her fragile heart together and help it grow. I can only wish.
