My Sunshine, Her Stars (Re Upload)

The one where Marin gets her first period

A/N: interlude chapter since I haven't finished my miniseries yet. This is a Marin chapter! Super fluffy. Enjoy!

Narcissa and I were laying on the couch watching a movie together. I had asked her to pick the movie this time and she did fnot disappoint. She had chosen one of my favorite movies ever, "Mamma Mia", and was cuddled up with me, watching and singing along to the songs softly under her breath. As much as I love the movie and all the music in it, I couldn't even pay attention to it. Whenever Narcissa and I watch a movie together, I end up staring at her, completely in awe that I get the privilege of being married to such an incredible woman. I love the way she laughs quietly at the jokes, the way she makes comments under her breath about the plot, the way she sings along to the songs... the way the light from the screen illuminates the blonde part of her hair. The way her body fits so perfectly against mine. I love the way her warm arms wrap around my torso, the feel of her head against my stomach as I play with her hair while she watches.

Marin was supposed to be at Victoire's house but she ended up coming home early, surprising me and my wife.

"Mum? Mummy? I'm home."

"Hello little love. You're back early, I thought you were sleeping over at Vic's house."

"I don't feel very good, figured it was best to come home." She said groggily.

"Want to watch the movie with us?" Cissy asked, looking up to see our daughter standing in the living room.

"Its your date night, I don't want to intrude." Our twelve year old said shyly. She looked a bit uncomfortable and distressed.

"We have date night all the time Mar, you're welcome to watch with us." I said with a small smile, patting the spot on the couch next to us. "But go get your pajamas on first."

"Alright."

Cissy turned to me for a moment with a look of slight worry and confusion.

"Did Marin seem upset to you?" She asked, a frown present on her face.

"A bit yeah. I thought she was sleeping over at Victoire's. But if she's not feeling good-"

My voice cut off when we heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Mum? Mummy? Can I talk to you for a second?" Our little redhead asked quietly.

She had her head down and was ringing her hands out anxiously, standing in her alien pajamas.

"Of course darling." Cissy said, sitting up so Marin could sit between us. When our daughter saw the space for her, she quickly sat down and took a deep breath.

"Whats going on?" I asked.

"Ok so I think I uhm... I think it happened."

I furrowed my brows.

"What happened sweetheart?"

"I think I got my first period." She whispered.

Marin looked so uncomfortable, like it took everything in her to admit it, and now that she had, she was dying of embarrassment.

Cissy gave me a knowing look which I returned, and I silently prayed to every higher power that I was going to handle this the right way.
