Larry ran up to his car and noticed a bag that said "broken parking meter" over the one next to his car. He sighed before walking over to his car and jumping on it, slash kicking his tire to get it free to no avail. He eventually gave up and ran over to a friend of his. "Hey, Mike." He said. Mike turned around to greet him. "Hey, Larry. How you doin'?" Mike asked. "Have you seen Nicky?" Larry asked. "I'm pretty sure he went home with Erica. It was a half day today. Parent Career Day." Mike informed. Larry then glanced up at the sign on the school. Larry walks home and greets his ex before entering the house. "Hey." He said. "Hey. Come on in." She greeted as she closed the door. "You all right?" She asked Larry as she turned around. "Yeah, yeah. Why didn't anybody tell me it was Career Day?" Larry asked. "What do you mean? Nicky said he was gonna tell you." Erica said. "Oh, okay. I guess he forgot." Larry said. "There he is. Hey. How are you, Larry?" Don asked. "Good." Larry said. "Can you believe this weather?" Don asked. "Chilly, right? Chilly, chilly, Chilly Willy the Penguin." Don said, suddenly his phone began ringing and Larry raised an eyebrow as Don reached for his phone. "My phone. Leave me alone. Hey, why don't I go tell the little corncob you're here?" Don asked. "Great. Great. That's great. Yeah. Thanks." Erica said. "Your fiancé really manages to squeeze a lot onto that belt." Larry said. "Stop it." Erica snapped before shaking her head and walking over to the fridge. "What? What? No, it's like he's the Batman of stockbrokers." Larry said. "Bond trader." She corrected.

"Bond trader. Sorry." Larry said. "Hey, how's it going with that virtual reality driving range that you wanted to open?" Erica asked. "Gettin' there. Still waitin' for the technology to catch up with the idea. I mean, it's not easy. There are a lot of moving parts." Larry said. "Uh huh." Erica said. "Hey, do you think... you think Nick would like Queens?" Larry asked. "Oh, no. Larry, you didn't get evicted again, did you?" She asked, and Larry shook his head. "I didn't... get evicted. I didn't get evicted, no. I mean I didn't... No, I didn't get evicted yet." He said. "It's like... All right, listen to me. I don't know how much more of this Nicky can take. Every couple months, it's a new career, a new apartment. If it wasn't for Nicky, I wouldn't say anything. I would stay out of it. It's just... It's too much instability. It's not good for him." Erica said. "I'm trying to figure things out right now, okay?" Larry asked. "You know... I... I don't... I don't think that Nicky should stay with you." Erica said. "What?" Larry asked in surprise. "Well, just until you get really settled." She said. "Hey, Dad." Nicky said. The two suddenly turned towards him. "Hey. Ready to carve it up?" Larry asked. "Cool." Nicky nodded. Some time later Larry is watching his son playing at a hockey game. "All right! Good! Get in front of it! Take it, Nicky! Break away!" Larry said, cheering for his son. Suddenly Nicky collapsed and Larry ran onto the ice rink toward him as people jeered at him. "What are you doin'?" Someone asked. "Hey! Hey, Nicky!" Larry said. "Get off the ice!" Another person shouted.

"Are you all right?" Larry asked as he helped his son up. "I'm fine. Would you get off the ice?" Nicky smiled, and Larry leaned down to talk quietly to him. "Listen up. Their left defenseman is a very weak skater. You go to the left side, you got a clear shot at the goal. Okay?" He asked. "Cool. Thanks." Nicky said. "All right, man." Larry said. "We're good here. He's good. All right. As you were, skaters. Game on." Larry said as he walked back to the stands, only to get hit and fall back and everyone cringed. "I'm good." Larry reassured. Later that evening the father and son are walking home. "I'm tellin' you, man. You tore it up out there today. I'm thinkin' the NHL is a serious possibility." Larry said. "Yeah, I don't really wanna be a hockey player anymore." Nicky said, which surprises Larry. "All right. What do you wanna be?" Larry asked. "A bond trader." Nicky said. "A bond trader?" Larry repeated. "Yeah, it's what Don does." Nicky said. "He took me to his office last week." He added. "That's cool. So what? You wanna dress up in a monkey suit and tie every day? Like an automaton robot?" Larry asked before imitating a robot, making Nicky laugh. "Trust me. You can't play hockey in a cubicle. Kinda awkward." Larry said. "Well, he's got a pretty big office." Nicky said. "That's not the point. Come on. You love hockey." Larry pointed out. "I still like it, but bond trading's my fallback." Nicky said, catching Larry off guard with his choice of words. "Your fallback? Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You're too young to have a fallback, okay, Nicky? And also, where did you ever even hear that word?" Larry asked. "Mom was talking to Don about all your different schemes." Nicky explained. "She called them schemes?" Larry asked in surprise. "She said it was time you found a fallback. Are you really moving again?" Nicky asked. "I don't know. We'll see. I mean, there are some pretty cool places out in Queens." Larry said. "Yeah." Nicky looked down. "Hey. Hey, Nicky, look at me. Look at me, man. I wanna tell you somethin'." Larry said desperately, and Nicky looked up at his father. "I know that things have been kinda up and down for me lately... and that's been hard for you. But I really feel like my moment's coming... and when it does, everything's just gonna come together. You know?" Larry said. "What if you're wrong... and you're just an ordinary guy who should get a job?" Nicky asked. Larry stared at him in surprise, taking in his words. "All right. Well... You know what? We'll figure it out, okay? All right? Come on. Let's get you back to Mom's. Come on." Larry said as they began walking again.
