CHAPTER - 5

The room was soundless for a whole minute. Jisoo smiled excitedly, "It would be so much fun playing this game!"

Hoseok gulped, "The game you're talking about is Ouija game." Namjoon nodded, "This Ouija Board, Jisoo, you do know what this is used for. It's not some normal board."

Lisa took the board from Jisoo and smiled, "Yes, this board is used for connecting to the spirit world and talking to them."

Rosé nodded, "Why don't we play and get to know if talking to spirits by using this board is possible or not?"

All of them looked over the situation, they knew that it was dangerous but in the end, their curiosity won.

They cannot deny even if they want to. They can disagree to maknaes but it was Jisoo this time. Saying "no" to her is like asking to get insult.

Jin sighed, "Alright, we'll play after we complete our dinner. I'm suddenly so much hungry. C'mon everyone."

The dinner went by quickly, especially for the scared ones. Jin, Hoseok, and Jennie were not prepared for this horror game. They'd much rather go and sleep instead of trying to talk to some dead people who everyone calls ghost.

Everyone settled in the living room except for Hazel. Yoongi frowned, "Where is Eli?"

"Here I am." Hazel walked inside with her laptop. "Before playing, we should gather up some information about Ouija board. All the instructions and rules should be followed if we don't want anything happening to us."

Namjoon nodded, "That's a good idea, Hazy." They both smiled at each other. Hazel started searching up about the Ouija Board, "Okay, I got this. Listen up everyone."

Jungkook snatched the laptop away from Hazel, making her protest, "Hey coconut head! You cannot just kidnap my sweet laptop like that!"

Jungkook glared at her, "I am not coconut head, Shorty! And I did not kidnap your laptop...oh I mean sweet laptop." He mocked her and then exclaimed as Yoongi took away the laptop from him, "Hey!"

"Shut up." Yoongi narrowed his eyes at him. Jungkook gulped and looked away, making Hazel laugh, "What happened? Scared?"

Yoongi looked at Hazel softly, "Eli, stop." Hazel nodded, "Sorry, Yoon." He smiled at her and glared at Jungkook again, "You also better stop teasing Eli."

Jungkook gape at him, "But I di-" he shut his mouth quickly as everyone stared daggers at him. Yoongi handed over the laptop to Jin, asking him to read out loud.

Jin started reading the guide, "Find a quiet place with no distractions. You'll need to focus to connect to the spirit world, so choose a place where you feel peaceful and relaxed. Then, silence your phone and any electronic devices so you won't be interrupted."

Jimin interrupted, "Quiet place is fine but silencing our phones is not necessary, right?"

Rosé frowned, "It will be no fun if there is interruption. So, silencing our phones is the best option."

Everyone nodded, some of them were scared but they knew that interruption while talking to a spirit is a big no.

Jin continued, "Light black candles to protect you from negative spirits. Black candles repel negative energy, so they make it hard for bad spirits to connect with you. Plus, burning candles will give the room some ambience while you're using your Ouija board.
White candles can also help remove negative energy.
You might also burn a blue candle to help open the lines of communication between you and the spirit world."

He stopped at looked at everyone, "Do we have black or white candles?" Jennie gave a relieved smile, "We have white candles and blue ones too."

Hoseok clapped, "Perfect! No negative spirits will come for us then."

Jin sighed in relief, "Alright then, let me continue." Rosé raised her hand to stop him, "Wait, just read how to end the game. I already know how to play. It's very simple."

Jin nodded hesitantly and started reading the end of the article, "Say "goodbye" to end the session. Some people believe that not saying goodbye could leave a door open to the spirit world. Sometimes, the spirit will end the session first by moving the pointer to "goodbye." If that doesn't happen, thank the spirit and push the pointer over to "goodbye" yourself.
Always say goodbye, even if you don't get any contact, just in case a spirit is hanging around but didn't move the pointer.
After you say goodbye, flip the pointer over so it won't start moving around again." Jin closed the laptop, "That's all we have."

"Are you okay, Joonie?" Hazel asked Namjoon, who looked anxious. He sighed and replied, "I'm not sure about this. Suppose, we succeeded in connecting to some spirit and started talking. But what if we mess up about saying good bye?"

Hazel stood up and sat beside Namjoon, "We will be fine, Joonie. We will not mess it up. None of us will get hurt. You trust us right?" Namjoon hold her hand gently, "I trust you all but I don't trust anyone else, which includes those spirits we are going to try and talk to."

Hazel intertwined their hands as Taehyung responded him, "When we are together, even the spirits won't be able to hurt us." Jimin smiled and nodded, "Together, we are bulletproof!"

Everyone laughed while agreeing. Namjoon's anxiousness reduced a little, "Okay then. Let's prepare for this game."

Jisoo stood up and started giving orders, "Jin, Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jungkook, I want our living room to be more spacious. Arrange everything properly. Jennie, Taehyung, and Lisa, go and bring some white and blue candles that we have. And Jimin, take away everyone's phone and switch them off. Everyone else, do whatever you want."

The people who were given worked gaped at Jisoo while the free ones smirked. They were going to protest but a glare from Jisoo shut their mouth.

After half an hour, everything was ready, the atmosphere of room was dark and gloomy, opposite of the people inside the room. They were scared a little but very much excited.

Rosé, Jisoo, Jungkook, and Taehyung decided to be the ones putting their fingers on the pointer while Hazel decided to write the letter that the planchette will show.

The others sat around those five. Jisoo smiled playfully, "Everything is arranged and we are ready too. So..." she paused, being dramatic.

Yoongi said annoyingly, "Let's just get over with this!" And everyone started laughing.

Will this game be safe for them or more dangerous than the previous game that they wanted to play so badly.

Only the fate will decide...or maybe the spirits will...
