The Elevator Game ( Bangpink x Reader )

CHAPTER - 2

As the twelve individuals started eating in comfortable silence, two of them were sneaking uneasy glances at each other.

Hazel sighed, "Alright. Joonie and Hobi, say it." Both of them looked at her dumbfounded. Hazel almost laughed at their expression, "What? You guys thought that I wouldn't notice? Even after knowing that you two want to talk about something important."

Now all the attention was on those two. Hoseok and Namjoon shared a look and the latter one started speaking, "We got the information that a 23 years old girl named Laura Martin was found dead in Hotel Paradise."

"What?!" Everyone exclaimed. "You mean Hotel Paradise? The one besides our apartment building?" Jisoo asked.

Hoseok sighed, "Yes. The footage of her being in the hotel's elevator is publicly revealed."

Yoongi frowned, "What do you mean by her being in that elevator ?" Namjoon started explaining, "In the footage, she can be seen pressing different buttons in the elevator. It also looked like she was very anxious and scared. At some floor, she looked behind and started talking to someone but the thing is, no one was in the lift with her."

A few gasps could be heard as Hoseok carried on from there, "Cops says that she was mentally unstable and bipolar."

"How did she die?" Asked Rosé strangely interested in the news, "After she got out from the elevator on the first floor, she started walking out of the building. But suddenly, she stopped and looked back, and then, no one knows why she started walking towards the elevator again. Then, the footage is unclear, seems like the camera just stopped working and the next scene in the footage is her body. Her neck is broken because of the doors of the elevator."

Jennie gulped and said, "You mean to say that she somehow got caught when the doors were closing? She got caught in a way that her neck..." Namjoon nodded silently.

There was a shocked silence in the room for a whole minute. Everyone was processing this news when a voice spoke up, "Mistakes."

Everyone looked at the source of that voice. Rosé, who was looking down continued, "She made two mistakes or maybe more."

Jimin frowned, "What do you mean Rosé?" She sighed and looked at Jimin, then at others. "My theory is that she played The Elevator Game and she made mistakes by breaking the rules of the game."

"Not again with this game!" Taehyung and Jimin exclaimed. Jungkook, being interested asked Rosé to elaborate.

Rosé nodded at Jungkook and continued, "I'll not be explaining on how to play this game. The first rule she broke was that she shouldn't have talked to that lady."

"But there was no one else in the elevator except her as Namjoon said earlier." Jin interrupted her.

Rosé sighed, "When the player reaches the fifth floor, a lady enters the elevator. The rule is that you do not look at her, do not talk to her, and do not acknowledge her. She will try to talk to you but you have to ignore her because it is believed that she is not a human."

Dumbstruck. Everyone was dumbstruck. "You said that Laura was talking to someone in the Elevator but there was no one. There is a possibility that she was talking to that inhuman lady."

Hazel took a deep breath and asked, "Which is the second rule she broke?" Rosé looked at Hazel and answered, "After getting out of the Elevator, it's a rule that the player has to get out of the building without looking back. But..."

"She looked back." Lisa completed the sentence and continued, "She looked back and that's why she got the punishment. That's why she..."

"Died." Rosé nodded.

Once again, the room was surrounded by a thick silence. Once again, everyone was processing the situation.

Hazel suddenly recalled the article she was reading earlier. She looked at Rosé and asked, "What about Elisa Lam? The girl who was found in the water tank of the Hotel Cecil? The article said that she was also playing The Elevator Game. Is that true?"

Rosé shrugged, "I believe so. Her elevator footage makes me believe that she was playing the game and maybe broke some rule."

Hoseok frowned, "Are you guys talking about the incident which occurred in 2013?"

Jimin answered, "Yes, Rosé desperately wants her theory of Elisa Lam and now...what's the girl's name?"

Taehyung face palmed, "Laura Martin." Jimin smiled at him and continued, "Yes. Our Rosé desperately wan-"

Rosé interrupted him, "I'm not being desperate, Jimin!" He ignored her and continued, "desperately wants her theory of Elisa Lam and now, Laura Martin playing The Elevator Game to come true."

Rosé huffed and Lisa patted her back while scolding Jimin, "Shut up Jimin. She is not being desperate okay!"

Jungkook hummed, "What if Rosé's theory is correct? What if those two girls died because of that game? And what if we..."

Hazel continued after him, "Try to play this game?" Jungkook nodded and winked at her. Hazel winked back and looked at the others.

Taehyung clapped, "Let's play The Elevator Game then!" All the maknaes looked at their decision-making friends.

Yoongi, Jennie, Jin, Jisoo, Hoseok, and Namjoon looked at each other silently. Each of them considered the possibilities.

It looked like they were mind-linking and talking to each other. Maknaes were well aware of the chances of them denying this idea. So, the maknaes winked at each other and started showing their cute puppy face making the others melt at their cuteness.

Finally, after what seemed like a whole decade, they got their answer.
