I just can not not write about Virat the captain in India vs England 2nd test 2021.
So here it goes...
Ind vs Eng has always been one hell of a contest. And same was the case this time too!
It was the day after independence and Indian crowd could not have asked for a better gift than the win!
At the start of Day 5 Indian fans were hoping to somehow sneak 200+ lead with Rishabh Pant being there.
Jinks- Vi! We have to look for 200+ then we can give chance to our bowlers!
Virat- Exactly Jinks! I have full faith in my team we are gonna win this!
Rishabh- Virat bhaiya I will try my best.
Virat- I know Rish just play your natural game no need to change anything under pressure!
But there belief was short lived as Rishabh was soon out trying to play a shot!
Now the Indian lower order was all exposed to the brutal England players!
Ishant Sharma also got out soon after Rishabh!
Rohit- I know Virat how much this win matters to you! Trust me we will fight hard to win this no matter the target we set!
Virat- I hope so Ro!
Bumrah -(before entering the field heard their conversation) We promise Bhai we will try our best to put some runs on the board!
Shami- Boom let's just play defensive we can't afford to lose wicket now!
Bumrah- No bhai we will attack them they can't underestimate us after all we have learnt this from our captain Virat bhaiya !
But but England players themselves called their doom by sledging Bumrah!
First of all you should have learnt by now not to sledge Virat's team and then they went even a step ahead and sledged someone like Bumrah who is one of the calmest persons around!
Now Bumrah is not the one to get riled up so quickly! But if he is getting that riled up then we can understand just how nasty things they would have said!
Virat- (roared)How dare they! I am not going to leave them! They tried to sledge Boom!
Jinks- Virat calm down please! They are not kids they can handle this!
Rohit- Also it's not like they have never sledged any of us before!
Virat- You guys are not understanding! If it would have been me or even anyone other than boom I wouldn't have minded that much!
Rohit- seriously 😒
Virat- I mean ok fine I would have given it back to them but Boom never initiates it Ro! And by the looks of it I can feel it's nasty!
But this seemed to have shifted something inside Indian players after the heated exchange!
They were not shy of scoring boundaries! And apart from the brutal attack by Shami and Bumrah the celebration done by the Indian captain from dugout was something which England players will never forget!
Each boundary was applauded with such lethal aggression that other players present beside Virat also got uplifted by that!
It looked as if possible Virat would have entered in the field and gave them a taste of their medicine!
