3rd person's pov :

Beam turns at Forth as soon as. He reaches Forth's dorm. "What happened ?"

Forth shrugs "nothing."

Beam rolls his eyes "Don't lie to me. You kept looking at me the whole ride."

Forth sits on the bed tiredly "I was driving my bike, Beam. How can I look at you while driving ? You were on my back."

"I saw it in the mirror , Forth. You looked at me like I have cheated on you with your girlfriend." Beam pushes hard on Forth's shoulder.

"Why are you so angry today ?" Forth frowns.

"I am angry ? Where ? I am not. I am just following you here and there. Because you don't remember a single promise you made to me these days."

"What promise ?" Forth sits straight.

"You promised me that you would be my friend first then Phana's. But what did you do today ? You gossiped about me with them. What do you think ? I didn't notice. I didn't notice how all of went silent when I came back with bears ?" Beam's eyes turn teary.

" When I asked you what you were talking about you pretend to zone out to avoid my question. Then you said that you have a headache. Now, you are judging me with your stares." A tear drop escapes from Beam's cheek.

Forth sighs "you are good at making castles in your head. Come here."

Beam looks away from Forth without moving.

Forth leans closer to Beam to pull him in his embrace "I have never judged you in the past, I am not judging you now and I will not judge you in the future either. You are perfect in the way you are."

Beam sniffs "then what were you guys talking tell me."

Forth caresses slowly on Beam's hair "If ... I tell you .. everything .. would you tell me the truth ?"

Beam looks up from Forth's chest "what truth ?"

"The truth of how you know things beforehand without anyone telling you ?" Forth whispers.

Beam blinks "I know things ? Like what ?"

"Like how you know Phana has a movie date with Yo ? How you know Lam's boyfriend name ? How you know the exact chapter from which questions are gonna come in exams ?"

Beam frowns "they told me themselves."

Forth squints his eyes "then I never told you that I have a girlfriend. How do you know about my affair ?"

Beam leaves Forth's hug with a confused face "you don't have a girlfriend."

"I have a girlfriend and you know about it. Just now you gave an example of you cheating with my gf."

"That was just a metaphor. You don't have a girlfriend. You are lying." Beam stands up from the bed.

Forth chuckles "Are you free tomorrow? I will introduce you to her."

Beam grits his teeth "Don't lie to me."

"She is beautiful, kind and loyal. She loves cooking. She loves hang...

"Shut up." Beam pulls Forth by his shirt collar "you are a bad liar. You don't have any girlfriend."

Forth looks at Beam in the eyes "why would I lie to you ? You are my best friend."

Beam blinks fast "You promised me. You promised me you will be mine."

Forth looks at Beam's sombre face with a complex expression"I am still your bestfriend."
