Double Take

3rd person's pov :

"Beam.." Phana glares at Beam while handing over the suit to him "Don't make such face."

"He is yet to recover and you gave him the permission to leave ?" Beam retorts.

"Forth is an adult, Beam. If he wants to leave , I can't cage him here. I have already warned him about his health."

"What is the use of doctors if patients can act on their own ?"

Phana sighs "come on ... we had this conversation already. Now, will you leave your doctor status and be a good friend ? It's farewell party of Forth."

Beam's face sours "I am a good friend of Forth. That's why I am concerned."

Beam looks away from Pha. He doesn't know why he feels so frustrated today ? He feels restless in his whole body. He wants to scream, cry, and bawl his heart out.

"Where is the party boy ?" Pha sits on their reserved table in "Avenue" along with Kit and Beam.

"He was there. Just got a call. Some problems with Visa." Park replies with a smile "I am feeling nostalgic. It's been a while."

"Yeah! It's first time after we left college." Kit grins.

"Then let's do it again on yours and Ming's wedding." Park teased.

Kit rolls his eyes "how about yours and Lam's first ?"

Beam looks at his friends happily gossiping like it's a happy occasion. Forth is leaving. He is fucking leaving. How can Lam and Park even smile.

"Hey guys ! You are here....."Forth pulls out the chair in front of Beam with his left hand.

Beam looks up at Forth. Forth is wearing his usuall black shirt with folded sleeves. He is not wearing suit or he was wearing suit but he has dropped it. His shirt is half unbuttoned exposing his chest.

"How do I look ?" Forth grins at Beam as he notices Beam's stare.

Beam widens his eyes. He looks away "like an obstinate and stubborn patient who is leaving even before recovery."

"Oh god, not again." Pha interrupts with a big sigh.

"He is ranting the same thing for eternity. Forth, you should take him with you to show him that you can travel." Kit jokes.

Forth grins "Well, if Dr. Beam wants I can take him with me.."

Beam glares at Forth "don't joke. It's not funny."

"Ok ok ok ..." Lam raises his hands to stop the conversation"let's order now. Enough talking .."

"Yeah .. let's order all of our favourite dishes. It's my treat." Forth replies.

"Appetizer first !" Lam places the menu in the middle of the table.

"Orange glazed meatballs for me." Pha orders.

"Bacon rolls." Kit replies.

"Bacon cheese hamburgers for me and Park." Lam states. "And what about you , Beam ?"

Beam sighs. "chicken wings with white sauce dip."

"Ok done with appetizers." Lam folds the menu.

"What about Forth ?" Beam asks with a frown.

"I know his order. Chicken satte , right ?" Lam asks to Forth.

Forth nods "No peanut sauce."

Beam's heart skips a bit. He holds his chest suddenly.
