sunoo blinked his eyes open as the rain pattered softly against the window, the sound blending into the gentle rise and fall of heeseungs chest next to him. the blanket was warm, and for a moment he felt as if he were in the midst of a dream. but then the memories of the previous night flooded back to him, and he sat up abruptly, his heart racing.

"w...what time is it?" he mumbled, his voice still hoarse. heeseung stirred beside him, his eyes fluttering open as he felt the shift in movement. he blinked a few times, the sleep still etched in his expression.

"it's early still," he gestured towards the window, where the rain was just beginning to pick up. "you should go back to sleep."

sunoo shook his head, a feeling of nausea creeping up in his stomach. "i can't...i have to go to school early today."

heeseung raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "you have to go to school?" he repeated and sunoo nodded sheepishly, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"today i have to go help out at the gymnasium.." he explained, his voice barely above a whisper. "and we haven't finished preparing for the dance yet. we.. we need more time."

heeseungs expression softened. he wrapped an arm around sunoos waist, drawing him back down to the bed. "it's okay," he said, his voice gentle. "we have all the time in the world. you can help out later, the dance is not until next week~"

sunoo jumped out of the bed, his heart racing. "i just can't stay here, heeseung," he muttered, quickly pulling on some of heeseungs clothes he found in the closet. he didn't have time to go to his own room to get his clothes."i have to go. i will get kicked out of the club if i don't go—"

heeseungs eyes widened in surprise. "sunoo?" he asked, his voice tinged with confusion. "you can't go to school like this."

sunoo shook his head, his mind already racing with the tasks ahead. "it's fine. i just need to hurry."

heeseung let out a frustrated grunt, crossing his arms as he watched sunoo rush to the door. "no. it's not fine," he said, his voice firm. "you need to rest. you're in no shape to go to school. you just had a panic attack last night, you need to rest—"

sunoo stopped in his tracks, his hand lingering on the doorknob. for a moment, he felt as if he were caught between two paths, one leading to the safety of heeseungs arms and the other to the looming deadliness outside.

"please," heeseung said gently, taking a step forward and placing a warm hand on sunoos shoulder. "just stay here with me. you can help out with your club later.."

but sunoo shook his head, determination etched on his face. "i can't. i've got to do this. i can't risk getting kicked out."

heeseung sighed, his expression shifting to one of resignation as sunoo opened the door and disappeared out into the damp morning. he closed the door behind him, a faint smile crossing his lips as he thought about how much he secretly admired sunoos determination. despite his fears and worries, sunoo was always determined to face his challenges head-on, no matter how difficult they seemed. he couldn't help but admire that about him.

on the other hand, as sunoo made his way to the gymnasium, he couldn't help but feel weary. his mind was still reeling from his nightmare the previous night, and his body seemed to sag with exhaustion.
