⧫TW: sexual assault⧫

"It's a beautiful night, isn't it?"

Naomi turned around to see Michael's sly face.

"I was asked to go look for you, they were afraid that you might have got lost", he said.

"I'm fine, thank you", Naomi replied quietly. Michael laughed and took a seat right next to her. The girl tried to act natural but also kept herself reserved. Michael's hand snaked around her waist.

"You must be excited since you get to marry someone like me", he said confidently. Naomi almost scoffed but contained herself.

"I don't mind marrying you, even though there definitely is prettier girls out there", he kept talking though Naomi prayed that he would just shut up.

"You're not too bad, I mean you could have more curves but I guess this'll do", he remarked and before Naomi could react, she felt as Michael's lips glued to hers. His hands quickly moved to touch her chest which made her gasp and Michael took this as a chance to slip his tongue in her mouth.

The shocked girl pushed him off of her and she stood up. She felt sort of violated. She felt anger build up inside of her.

"What are you doing?", she inquired and wrapped her arms around herself and took a step back as Michael stood up and got close to her. He was still smiling like he had no shame.

"What, am I not allowed to kiss my soon to be wife?", he asked and tried to grab the girl once again but hissed as he felt a hard smack on his cheek. Naomi's eyes widened. It was almost like a reflect and she didn't even realize she hit him until it had already happened.

"I'm sorr-", she was cut of as Michael slammed her against the wall and he didn't seem nearly as cheerful as before.

"You really think you can hit me?", he snapped.

"I mean I just did", Naomi mumbled but she shouldn't have because almost immediately she felt as Michael grabbed her hair and pulled it hard making Naomi let out a cry.

"You bitch", he fumed and after a while of Naomi's desperate squirming, he finally let go.

"I'm gonna go now, you better come back soon and act like nothing happened", he said in a cold tone and left back towards the restaurant area.

Naomi stayed there sitting on the floor, tears forming to her eyes. Her scalp hurt a little bit but it was least of her problems right now. She can't marry him, she can't handle it. But there nothing she can do right?

...

"We truly had great time, I hope we can meet each other again soon", Naomi's mother uttered as the other adults nod their heads agreeingly. Naomi had went back to the restaurant after couple of minutes cooling down. Michael had told others that she wasn't feeling well so she needed some fresh air and she would be back soon.

Now the dinner was finally over and the girl was sitting in the car with her parent's as Johnson was asking them about how the meeting went.

"I think that the Michael boy will make such a great husband for Naomi", Mrs.Alvara answered happily as Johnson asked about him."Don't you agree Naomi darling?", her mother asked with a smile. Naomi was far from happy.

"I won't marry him, I refuse", she replied quietly and looked out of the window as she was too afraid to face her mom.

"Don't be silly Naomi, you have no saying in this", she sneered.

"But-", Naomi started but flinched as her dad started full on yelling.

"DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I HAVE WORKED ON THIS SETTLEMENT, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU WANT, NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT YOU!", he yelled and Naomi could feel a lump in her throat.

"B-but it's my life", she sobbed out and tears began to fall along her cheeks.

"Life is not fair, understand that already!", her mother snarled and hit her with her colorful fan that she's been carrying around all day.

...

Finally at home, Miss Davis helped her to undress and folded a clean pair of clothes on her bed as she was taking a bath.

As Naomi laid in the warm bath water, she though about her options. Either she'll  willingly marry an awful perverted man who definitely didn't treat women right but at least she would keep her parents happy. Or then her parent's would force her to marry him and then no ones happy. It didn't sound very pleasing. Or the last option was. She would have to run away.

But that was an riddiculous idea. Where would she even go and what would she do. She barely had any money on her own. Maybe some cash but no one strives far with that. She doesn't have place to stay and hotels would become expensive in long run. It sounded an impossible idea.

...

After taking a bath and drying up, Naomi still felt highly overwhelmed about the whole day. She grabbed a cup of tea that miss Davis had left for her and walked to her balcony to enjoy in.

The moon was shining bright in the sky and the city lights had decreased at this hour. The view reminded her of a horror book that she read once. Shortly the book was about a town that birds took over and if anyone tried to leave the place, the birds would peck the persons eyes out. It was slightly disturbing book but Naomi actually quite enjoyed it.

Naomi took a sip of her tea. She felt weird. Really weird now when she though about it. Was there something in the tea, it tasted weird? She looked into the cup but it looked like a regular tea, nothing un usual. She was about to place the tea cup on a small plate but stopped as she noticed a small note placed on top of the plate.

'Here's you chance to a better life, but be fast, your time's limited if you don't hurry up', the paper read. Naomi furrowed her eyebrows.

"What does that mean?", she whispered but dropped her tea cup and held back a yelp as she noticed that the fingertips in her left hand had turned to stone. What's happening? Did miss Davis do this to her? Was her parent's okay?

Naomi shot up and started to run towards her parents bedroom. She could feel the panic all over her body and it felt like her heart would pop out of her chest any moment from how fast it was beating.

"Mom, dad!", Naomi yelled as she pushed the door open. She froze as she saw miss Davis standing by their bed, smiling like a maniac. Naomi watched in terror as her parent's slowly faded to dust. Last thing she saw of her parent's were her mom's terrified expression and her dad trying to attack miss Davis as she cackled. She really was a witch.

Miss Davis pulled out a empty hourglass and with her magic she moved the dust that was left from Naomi's parent inside of it. Naomi was crying and shaking in fear and was too scared to move or say anything.

"Oh so you drank the tea, darling", miss Davis laughed and lifted her gaze towards the terrified girl.

"W-why did you do that, you killed my parents", Naomi cried and miss Davis's laugh grew.

"Don't worry about that child and be grateful that you're still here", she replied."For now at least, you better go make yourself loved if you don't want to spent rest of your life as a statue", she laughed."Your time is limited", she said and lifted the hourglass in front of the terrified girls face where the remains of her parents were slowly falling to the bottom of the glass.

"What are you waiting for, go, go hurry up!", the which yelled and without thinking Naomi ran out of the house, knowing  she would never return.
