Chapter 9

4 YEARS AGO

Alex Waren

"I am sorry, I am sorry." I whispered to him with weight around my hearth. Voice that was coming out was broken. If I screamed I feel like Nick wouldn't hear me at this moment he was standing looking like the soul left his body. He looked at me. Finally I thought to myself he will say something. His eyes glanced up at me.

"Why?" He asked me. I was confused, what does it mean? 

"Why Alex?" His voice was stronger this time his eyes were difrent.

"I don't know Nick." I said. But I didn't know, what was he asking me.

"You should of..." His voice broke he crashed down to the floor, he was breaking down his back hit the wall as he slided down with pain. 

"Nick." I reached out to him.

"Don't." He pushed me away. At that moment I knew I lost him.

PRESENT DAY

When I saw the headline of news today I wanted to smash my phone. Has it been 4 years today? I couldn't belive myself that time went by so fast. I left the city thinking it would fix me, but it didn't. I still think about it time to time. I just wish Nick talked with me insteed of doing it back then like that. 

"Alex, table is waiting for you." Tom tolld me.

I wondered of, but he brought me back to reality. I got up to my table.

"Can you belive it is today?" Woman said to the man siting next to her.

"Tragic." He replied.

They must be talking about it. Fake smile is all they get from me, I took their order and gave it to Tom. There weren't many people today must be because of heat. 

"So are you going to see that cute girl today?" Tom asked.

"Yes, later actually." my lip went up to a small smile.

"That better than that fake smile you pulled a minute ago." He said to me.

It got me thinking where should I take her out, I don't know but I have to figure it out till the end of shift. 

"I don't know where to take her do you have any idea?" 

"No, no I am not doing that if something doesn't go well you will blame me." He said with a serious face. 

I stood there tryng to think of something. 

"There has to be something she likes that you can do." Tom said while preparing the plates.

It hit me.

"I got it, thank you Tom." I grabed the plates he got for me and walked away. I was happy, the thoughts in my head silenced down. I served my table and walked away my shift is over in 3 hours so it is 4 till I get to see her.

Eveline Rose 

4 hours till our date, why am I freaking out. He is just a boy Eveline, but he isn't just a boy. Because no boy made me act like this. 

"I got a boy crush." Sarah sang in the background with my ukulele.

"I think the song is girl crush I belive Sarah." I said walking around with my wet hair.

"I am a Harry stan but this moment is you're movie moment so switching it up for you." She winked.

"Besides when did you learn to play ukulele?" I asked her.

"I spend to much time with you I just learend watching you." 

"But I usually play when I am alone." 

"I know." She winked again.

"Yeah, I think il start closing the window more often.

"Kiding, but you shoud keep an eye on Angeline." 

We laughed.

"Calm down Eve, you will have fun tonight."

"You think?"

"I know, beside he played an ABBA song for you, knowing your book addiction you allready created a story line in your head." 

It is true I do create a lot of story lines in my head but I can't controll it.

"He should be gratefull that I showed him ABBA."

"Can you believe it is end of June allready, we will start college any time soon."

"Shut up, please."

"Did you aplly yet?"

I shaked my head.

"You know you will get in right, youre work is amazing they will be crazy to not let you in."

"Kind of scared to send the letter."

"You will do great just try ok?" She sounded like my mom now.

"Yes sir." 

"Okay, I am going to leave now because I think my mom will ask me to just move to your house at this point." She got up and huged me.

"Bye E." She walked out of my room. 

"What poping grams." I heard her from the hallway. It is funny to me how much my house can feel like a home to my friends more than to me. My hair was slowly dryng of, my nails were  painted blue. I loved the feeling of geting ready in summer just like Sarah said like a movie scene. But one thing was true I need to send the letter before it is to late and I lose my chance. Okay time to put some makeup on and make it look like I don't have any on. 

Alex Waren

I was in my car, I think this was the longest shift ever. Probably because I have been waiting to see her. The trafic wasn't bad. I got home and showered. After I got out of shower I had to decide what to wear. I really hope she doesn't  disappoint in my outfit choice. I put on my black shirt it was a nicer one and blude jeans.

"Does this suck?" I turned around and realised I am talking to my dog again. He looked dissapointed.

"Okay but if I put my ring on and and my silver chain?" He barked Il take that as a yes. 

I headed out. But something was of, I glanced down. My shoes I forgot to put shoes on what wrong with you Alex. I got back in. Put my shoes on.

"Okay, I think I am good now." I am talking with my dog again dear God get me some roomate. 

I got in my car and headed to the beach where I work I just hope I am not late. 

Evelin Rose

Okay this is it. My drees was on my hair was fresh like summer sunset that at least what the botlle said. I walked out. 

"Oh my." My grandma gasped.

"You look stuning dear." She said with the brightest warmest smile.

"Thank you grandma." I huged her.

"I wont be back late so don't worry." 

"Oh I am not worried you go ahead and have fun okay, but not to much fun we don't want to make mom mad." She said laughing. 

"I won't." I walked out of the house and headed for the beach. It hit me as I was walking what if he doesn't come, shit maybe he doesn't really come. But it was to late to turn around. It was like God read my mind because there was Alex infront of his car waiting for me on the bench. He looked at me smiling but a difreent kind of smile it made me blush. I walked up to him.

"Hi." I said with a soft tone.

"You look beautifull." He tolld me and I am pretty sure that I didn't have to put blush on because he made me blush and it has been a few minutes.

"Anh, this olld thing." I said. He laughed.

"But thank you for noticing." I smiled.

"Shall we?" He pointed to his car.

"We shall." 

Who knows maybe this night will be better than I think.
