Chapter 10

--Chapter 10--

*Payton's POV*

I rolled over hitting the top of my alarm clock. I laid in bed for a minute staring up at the ceiling, then climbing out of bed. I walked into the bathroom turning the light on, plugging in my straightener. I brushed my hair walking back into my room to pick out my outfit. "Today's Niall's birthday!" I yelled all of the sudden. I decided to wear dark Hollister jeans, a gray and white thick striped top with American Eagle wrote in light pink and white vans. I walked back into the bathroom starting on my hair. My hair straightened really easy today. I finished it, brushing it out looking at myself in the mirror. I smiled thinking I actually looked pretty for once. I brushed my teeth did my make-up, shut the bathroom light off walking back into my room. I grabbed my phone checking it, Niall still had not called or texted me back. I put it in my back pocket grabbing my book bag throwing it on my back shutting my bedroom light off. I hopped down the steps walking into the kitchen eating a granola bar for breakfast walking out the door. I called Niall on my way to the campus, but he didn't answer. "What the heck Niall?!" I said pulling my phone away from my ear. I texted him quickly, 'Call me when you get this please' I locked my phone putting it in my back pocket. I walked up onto the campus seeing Cameron standing in a group of guys by the benches. He looked over at me smiling, I smiled and waved looking down. He pushed through his friends walking over to me, "You look gorgeous" He smiled. "Thank you" I smiled back, looking up at him. "Did you talk to Niall?" He asked. "No. I just called him. Today's his birthday and he still won't answer his phone." I frowned. "Crap! I forgot to get him something!" I yelled. "I doubt he wants anything. But if you did get him something just get him like a gift card to his favorite store." Cameron said. "Yeah I will." I said nodding my head. The doors to the college opened and I walked towards them, Cameron followed next to me. We walked halfway down the hallway when he said "My lockers right here. Bye Payton!" "Bye" I smiled.

I called Kelsey as I walked out of the college doors, "Hello?" She answered. "Hey come pick me up at my college. I need to go get Niall a gift" I said. "Alright. I'm getting ready to drive by there so it should only be like a minute." She said. "Alright thanks" I responded hanging up. I brushed my hair out with my fingers as her car pulled up. I jumped in shutting the door, throwing my book bag in the backseat. "Just got to the mall. I'm just getting him a Hollister gift card. In and out really quick." I smiled. "Sounds good" She said pressing on the gas pedal. Kelsey turned into the mall parking lot pulling up to the doors, "I'll just wait here. Hurry" She exclaimed. "Alright." I said grabbing money out of my wallet. I ran in the mall, thank god Hollister was on the first floor. I walked in, going up to the cash register. "Hi can I help you?" The cashier asked. "Uh yeah. Can I have a gift card?" I asked. "Yeah what's the amount?" She said grabbing one from behind the counter. "200" I replied handing her the money. She slid the card across the machine handing it to me, "Alright have a good day" She smiled. "Thanks you too!" I smiled back. I stuffed the receipt in my pocket, putting the gift card in my phone case. I dashed out the front doors of the mall to see Kelsey waiting where I left her. I hopped in the car, "Ugh" I sighed. "That was really quick!" She laughed. "Yeah" I mumbled catching my breath. "What did you get him?" She asked pulling away. "200 dollar gift card to Hollister" I stated leaning back. "Dang!" She chuckled.

Kelsey pulled up into my driveway slowly, "Thank you!" I smiled grabbing my bag jumping out of the car. "Anytime" She smiled. I ran up my driveway opening my front door shutting it behind me. I took a deep breath throwing my book bag on the couch. I checked my phone to see if Niall had texted me but he didn't. I frowned walking into the kitchen, grabbing a water. I walked slowly up the steps going into my room. I threw my water and phone onto my bed walking towards my closet. I screamed jumping back when I saw a guy standing in the corner of my closet. Then I realized it was Niall "Oh my god..." I whispered covering my mouth. My eyes started watering, "Hi princess" He smiled walking towards me. I ran into his arms burring my face in his shoulder. He laughed quietly, "You look beautiful." "I missed you so much!" I said my tears soaking the shoulder of his shirt. Niall rubbed my back "I know babe. I missed you too." My heart was beating so fast, I couldn't believe I was wrapped in his arms. I was ecstatic. I pulled away looking into his blue eyes, "Happy Birthday Niall" I said sniffling. "Thank you, love." He smiled wiping off my cheeks. I stood there staring at him smiling. "What?" He smirked. "You're perfect." I whispered, smiling. My cheeks ached from smiling so much. Niall laughed making butterflies form in my stomach. I couldn't resist any longer, I crashed my lips into his. He kissed back wrapping his arms tightly around my back. He smiled into the kiss causing me to smile, normally I would pull away but I didn't. I wanted to stay with him forever, I didn't want him leaving me again. He tried pulling back and I let him, releasing my grip on him. "I got you a birthday present" I smiled. "No. I don't want it." Niall said shaking his head. "Well too bad." I giggled grabbing my phone opening up my case. I pulled the gift card out handing it to him, "How much is on here?" He asked. "200" I responded. He looked up at me, "Payton! That's too much!" He said handing it back to me. "Niall take it!" I said giving it back to him. "Fine but I'm spending 100 on you and 100 on me" He winked. "No! I got it for YOU!" I laughed. "My gift card" He teased. "Ugh!" I sighed giving in. "It's ok, I have spent more on you." He laughed putting the gift card in his back pocket. "On what?" I asked. "That necklace and ring." He responded. "How much were they?" I said sitting down on my bed. "If I tell you, you aren't giving them back to me, ok?" He said sitting down on the bed in front of me. "Just tell me!" I insisted. "The ring was 145 dollars and the necklace was uh..." He paused. "Niall...if it's over 500 you're dead!" I laughed. "Let's say 200" He winked getting up off the bed. I grabbed the collar of his shirt, "Tell me" I whispered on his lips. He kissed me softly, pulling away and mumbling "325 dollars." "Niall James Horan!" I yelled. "Yes?" He smirked. "Why would you spend that much?!" I exclaimed. "It's not a big deal." He laughed. "Niall yes it is! That's 470 dollars! On me! I'm not that important Niall!" I laughed getting up. "Babe you know not to say that around me." He said glaring at me. "Say what?" "That bull crap that you're not important and beautiful. Even if you don't believe it I do" He said walking over to me. "I know..." I mumbled. "I'm not mad at you Payton." Niall laughed grabbing my hand. I intertwined my fingers with his, he brought the back of my hand up to his lips kissing it gently. "I love you more than words can describe Payton!" He said staring at me. "I love you too Nialler. More than I have ever loved anyone else." I smiled. Niall leaned forward kissing my forehead, I closed my eyes taking a deep breath. He's finally back.
