Chapter 35

--Chapter Thirty Five--

"Oh something else too..." Niall smirked stepping back a little. "Yes?" I smiled looking up at him. He pulled an envelope out of his back pocket handing it to me, "Open it." I smiled at him, then ripped the top of the envelop off. There were two what looked like tickets inside, I pulled them out reading it. "What?!" I exclaimed as my face lit up with excitement. It was two plane tickets to the Caribbean. "Better start packing, we're leaving in two days." Niall smiled. "Niall!" I screamed running into his arms for a hug. He wrapped his arms around me embracing me in a tight hug. "Thank you." I said smiling weakly, pulling away from the hug.

*Niall POV*

Payton pulled away from the hug looking up at me. "Thank you." She said as a small smile appeared on her face. "You're welcome babe." I responded placing my hand on her cheek. She started leaning up a little, I leaned forward kissing her gently. She pulled away slowing...she knew I hated when she did that because she was teasing. "Stop!" I mumbled glaring at her. She smirked turning walking towards a table. She climbed on top of it sitting down, resting her feet on the bench part. I walked over to her leaning close to her ear, "I love you..." I whispered. "Niall stop!" She whined pushing on my chest. "You teased me!" I winked. "It's different." She said. "How?!" I laughed. "I don't know..." She mumbled starting to laugh quietly. She was silent for a minute then looked up at me, she opened her mouth getting ready to say something then stopped. "What?" I asked. "What if I would've said no?" She said scooting up a little to the edge of the table. "Honestly I probably would have cried..." I chuckled. She smiled grabbing my hands, "What would you do with the tickets?" "Well hopefully you would still be dating me...and we could just go on vacation. If not, I would give them to Ryan and Kelsey." I said. Payton nodded intertwining her fingers with mine. I looked down at our hands and smiled to myself. "I really love you Niall..." She whispered suddenly. "I know prin-" "No like seriously. I don't know how to explain it..." She murmured cutting me off. "I know. I understand babe." I smiled, looking down at our hands again. "You mean so much to me..." She whimpered, her voice cracked as she spoke. I snapped my head up lifting her chin up to look at me. A tear slide down her cheek slowly. "Princess...Shh, don't cry." I said softly. "I don't want to lose you like I lost Cam!" She said coughing grabbing onto me. "Payton, stop babe. You're not going to lose me I promise." I whispered grabbing her forearm gently. She climbed off the table falling into my arms. I took a deep breath, shaking my head. Her mood swings were horrible...I figured it was because she was pregnant and stressed out. "We're going to go relax, lay on the beach. Just get away from everybody for a while...just you and I ok?" I said gently rubbing her back. She pulled back nodding at me, I kissed her forehead wiping off her cheeks. "Let's just go home..." I said smiling down at her. She nodded walking in front of me. I ran my hands through my hair taking a deep breath and followed behind her, to her car.

I climbed in looking over at Payton. Her cheeks were tear stained and more continued running down them. I hated seeing her cry...and lately it was becoming something usual. Every day she was crying, and it wasn't just a couple tears it was sobbing. "Payton..." I started. "What?" She whined. "Can you stop crying?" I asked, but it came out harsher than I wanted it to. She glanced over at me covering her mouth, looking towards the window. Her shoulders shook, meaning she was crying but silently. "Why are you crying?" I mumbled. She ignored me continuing to stare out the window. "Whatever." I muttered under my breath starting the car. Payton swung over grabbing the keys out of the ignition turning the car off, "You're not driving if you're mad!" She yelled. "Why? I'm not mad." I said staring at her. "Because you will get us in a wreck Niall!" She screamed dropping the keys into my lap. I took a deep breath relaxing my head on the head rest. I turned my head looking over at her, her stomach wasn't growing...at all. It showed a little increase but not much. I grabbed her hand intertwining my fingers with hers, "I love you." I whispered softly. She looked over at me wiping off her cheeks, "I love you Ni." She choked smiling at me weakly. I started the engine back up again pulling away slowly. She tightened her grip on my hand, "Princess...calm down please." I said not taking my eyes off the road.
