The morning sun gently filters through the curtains, casting a warm glow over Jocelyn's cluttered yet cozy bedroom. Band posters and magazine clippings of bands - mainly Def Leppard adorn the walls, a testament to her unwavering love for their music. Her room is a reflection of her vibrant personality and her passion for good old rock n' roll.
Jocelyn, who is 21 sports tousled chestnut hair and bright eyes stirs awake, stretching out her arms with a yawn. She glances over at the alarm clock on her bedside table, plastered with stickers from various concerts.
(*JOCELYN*)
"Todays the day, Joss. The Def Leppard concert" I mumble to myself as I sit up on my bed.
I jump out of bed and head to my closet, rummaging through the mix of band shirts and vintage jackets.
I finally settle on an outfit that perfectly blends my rockstar admiration with my personal style.
I hurry to the kitchen of my apartment, where my roommate and best friend, Jenny is preparing lunch. Jenny has been my bestest friend for as long as I remember, she's the best.
"Good afternoon, rock chick. Nervous about tonight?" She asked as she takes a moment to look at her watch situated on her right wrist.
"Good afternoon, Jen! Nervous? Nah, just incredibly excited" I reply excitedly.
She playfully tousles my hair as we exchange an affectionate smile.
"We've been waiting for this concert since we were little girls. I'm so happy for us. We're gonna make the most of it" she said with a smile on her face.
"We definitely will, Jen. I never thought I'd get a backstage pass" I squeal excitedly.
I grab a quick bite to eat and I rush to gather my essentials including my worn out journal that I cherish.
Jenny and I drive down the vibrant streets of San Fransisco, the excitement palpable in the air. I tune the radio to a classic rock station and Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard fills the car.
Jenny and I look at each other in disbelief.
"Pour some sugar on meee... Ooh, in the name of love?" we sing along with pure joy.
As the music blares through the speakers, I tap my fingers on the steering wheel, my enthusiasm contagious.
As the sun sets, we arrive at the concert venue. My heart races with anticipation as we present our backstage passes to the security personnel.
We step into the backstage area, holding onto each others arms tightly, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. The loud music resonates through the walls as we explore the setup.
*I can't believe I'm here! This is a dream come true* I think to myself in awe,
as we walk further, I catch a glimpse of the Def Leppard band members in the distance preparing for the concert.
As I look around at them my eyes lock with RICK SAVAGE, the bass player, who glances my way with a warm smile.
"Oh, wow. Rick Savage is looking right at me" I whisper to Jenny and we giggle a little.
My heart flutters as the connection between me and Rick seems almost tangible.
