30th August 1989

The next morning, I decided that it was probably time to go back to the apartment. I know I shouldn't have took Jenny's words too close to heart. After all, she is just looking out for me, which we promised to do for one another ever since we were little girls.

At the apartment, I sit on the couch waiting for Jenny to wake up. Hoping she doesn't hate me.

"Jocelyn" she says as she sleepily walks out of her room.

"Hi, Jen. I made you some coffee" I say motioning to the already poured mug on the kitchen counter.

"Thanks, I was worried about you last night" she said as she sat down on the couch next to me.

"I know, I'm sorry Jenny. I know you are just trying to look out for me, I shouldn't have reacted the way I did" I say genuinely.

"It's ok, Joss. I'm sorry too, I know you really like him. He seems like a great guy" Jenny says looking over to me.

"We still sisters" I say looking at her with the puppy dog eyes,

"Of course. I love you, Jocelyn" she said as she opened her arms to embrace me.

"I love you too, Jenny" I say sappily as I take her embrace and run with it.

Later that day, I sit at my desk surrounded by my writing materials. The computer screen illuminates my face as I work on an article about my journey with Sav and Def Leppard so far. The room is filled with photographs of my adventures with the band, capturing the memories we have created together.

Then the doorbell rings, I look up a smile across my face knowing who it is. I get up and open the door to find Sav standing there with a bouquet of flowers in hand.

"Sav, what a surprise. Come in!" I say surprised and delighted,

"These are for you. I wanted to bring a little something to brighten your day" he says smiling.

Sav hands me the bouquet, I inhale the sweet scent of the flowers.

"Thank you. They're beautiful" I say softly as I lifted my face from out of the flowers,

"You're beautiful too" he says with affection.

We share a tender moment, a silent exchange of love and appreciation.

"You didn't have to bring me flowers. Just seeing you is enough to brighten my day" I say playfully.

"Well, I like to go the extra mile for you" he says back matching my energy,

"I've been working on the article about our time together. It's been incredible, I can't wait to share it with the world" I say looking around at all of my things laid out across my room.

"I'm excited to read it. You have a gift for capturing moments" he says enthusiastically.

"You have been my source of inspiration in more ways than one" I say with sincerity.

"As have you, Jocelyn" He said softly, he leant in and kissed me with passion, bringing back the memories of last night.

Later that evening, Sav and I relax in my apartment. Trying not to disturb Jenny. Soft music plays in the background creating a cozy ambiance.

"I'm so proud of you, Sav. You are truly inspiring" I say as I lean against him,

"I couldn't have done it without you. You've been my biggest supporter" he said gratefully.

"You make my life brighter. Being with you and experiencing your music has brought me so much joy" I say touching his cheek.

We share a loving kiss, my heart filled with gratitude and love for this man.

"Jocelyn, I have something to ask you" he said looking into my eyes passionately,

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"You've brought so much love and happiness into my life, and I can't imagine my future without you. I know we've only known each other for a couple weeks but, I'm in love with you. Jocelyn, will you do me the honour of being my partner, now and forever?" He said with seriousness.

I felt my heart skip a beat as I look into Sav's eyes, feeling the depth of his love and sincerity.

"Yes, Sav. With all my heart. I want to be with you, now and forever" I say teary eyed, I can sense the relief in Sav's expressions.

He embraces me, sealing our commitment.
