It was a cold winter day, on December 18th, 1957. The 17-year-old boy, Han Ji-sung was shivering beneath his soft white coat. The snow danced around, falling on his soft brown hair then melting just a few seconds later... Oh, how lovely it would be if he had a lover, by his side that he could hold to make her warm and she could warm him as well.

Jisung turned around the corner. Just a few more blocks away from his dad's apartment.

He arrived just a minute later. "Hello, Father" Jisung said with a bow. The man did not look at Jisung, he just said hello and went back to watching the television.

Jisung sighed as he took his coat off. His relationship with his father wasn't really, that father-son kind. They never got into arguments but they just didn't talk to each other much. The boy took off his shoes and laid down on his mattress. He sighed once again and took his glasses off.

His father was a huge businessman in Georgia, U. S. Well, his father only became famous just a few weeks ago. The 47-year-old man is still looking for a mansion to move into with Jisung. Even though he didn't talk with the boy much, he meant the whole world to him. After Jisung's mother passed away, he is the only memory the man has of him.

"Ji, get ready, we're going to the company." The boy's father said with his firm loud voice. Jisung nodded and wore one of the suits he had. He put on his tie and combed through his brown hair before putting his glasses on. He walked outside to see his father waiting in the car.

"It's as if your mom cut her hair and put on a suit, you look exactly like her, son." Jisung's dad said after the boy got in the car. Jisung smiled and nodded before he put his seatbelt on.

It was just 27 minutes before they arrived at their destination. Jisung got out and closed the door before opening the door for his father. The man stepped out and started walking towards the building, followed by Jisung. They took the lift to the 7th floor, which is the highest floor.

"Hello, Natalie!" The man said to a woman that was unknown to Jisung, before taking her hand and kissing it. "Hello Han-Gyeol," The woman said back, bowing. "Ah, you must be Jisung." The woman said, looking at the brown-haired boy. Jisung nodded.

The woman chuckled. "I'm your godmother, your father's best friend! You can call me Natalie!" Natalie said with a nod. "I have a son your age, head to the lounge! He should be in there."

Jisung nodded and started walking towards the lounge. He scratched his neck while he pressed the button to the 4th floor. He finally got to the lounge and pushed the glass door on his way in. No one was there, aside from this one boy. Whom he assumed was Natalie's son. But he looked Korean, not American at all.

"Hello!" Jisung said with a smile. The other boy in the room rolled his eyes as he aggressively but also lazily put his book down. But his eyes immediately lit up when he saw the person standing in front of him. "H-hey!" The boy said, closing his book. Jisung's smile was now even wider. "Are you Natalie's son?" Jisung asked with curiosity in his eyes. The boy, whose name was unknown to Jisung, nodded. "Oh! I'm Jisung! She told me to come down here to talk to you." Jisung said before he took a glance at the other boy's book. "My name is Hyunjin, I like your name, by the way, it's cute," Hyunjin said. Jisung smiled. "Thank you, I like your name too!" Jisung said, taking another glance at Hyunjin's book.

"I like Yu Kil-Chun!" Jisung said, smiling. Hyunjin smiled, "Me too." He said. "You should take off your suit jacket. I don't want you to sweat." Hyunjin said. Jisung nodded in understanding as Hyunjin instructed him to take off his suit jacket so that he wouldn't sweat. He quickly unbuttoned his jacket and took it off, grateful for the thoughtful suggestion. It was clear to him that Hyunjin always had his best interests in mind and he appreciated his concern for his comfort. They continued with their conversation, Jisung feeling much more comfortable now that he had removed his jacket.

"So, let's introduce ourselves! You already know my name, but not my last name. I'm Hwang Hyunjin! I'm 18! My parents have a pretty interesting story. My mom is from America and my dad is from South Korea. They met each other through mutual friends and hit it off right away. They had different backgrounds and cultures, but somehow they just clicked. They fell in love and have been together ever since. It's pretty cool to think about how two people from opposite sides of the world can find each other and make it work. I'm grateful for them." Hyunjin said.

Jisung just sat there, listening to Hyunjin's story about his parents. He assumed the boy looked more like his father since he looked almost nothing like his mom. "And I'm Han Jisung! I'm 17! And I've been with my father my whole life Growing up, I never really saw my mom. It was always just me and my dad. I don't know what happened to my mom but I hope it wasn't something bad. But I have some memories of us three from when I was 5 and younger." Jisung said with a slow nod. "My dad told me that I look a lot like my mother."

Hyunjin smiled. "Do you mind telling me your phone number? I want to be friends." He said, taking out his mobile phone. Jisung nodded, taking his own out as well. "Thank you!" Hyunjin said. "You're welcome!" Jisung said back. Hyunjin smiled, seeing Jisung smile. It was like Jisung's smile was contagious. in a good way of course.

Hyunjin and Jisung were having such a great time talking that Jisung completely lost track of time. He was so engrossed in the conversation that he didn't even realize how late it had gotten. It wasn't until his dad walked into the lounge to call him upstairs that Jisung finally snapped out of his conversation-induced trance. Despite the interruption, Jisung couldn't help but smile at Hyunjin once again before leaving.

"That was weird..." Jisung thought, knowing that he had never zoned out into a conversation. Jisung can't help but think about how Hyunjin catches his attention when they're in a conversation. Just something about how he speaks and carries himself makes Jisung want to keep listening. Maybe it's the confidence in his voice or the way his eyes light up when he's passionate about something. Whatever it is, Jisung finds himself drawn to Hyunjin's presence and can't help but want to spend more time with him.

"Father, can I maybe visit Hyunjin tomorrow?" Jisung questions. The man beside him nods. "Yes, it's great to see how you got along with Hyunjin in just a few hours." The man said as they exited the building.

"JISUNG!" A voice behind the two yells. Hyunjin approached Jisung with a smile, holding out the suit jacket that Jisung had forgotten. "Hey, I wanted to make sure you had this," he said, his heart beating a little faster as Jisung's eyes met his. "Thank you. Hyunjin!" Jisung said, bowing. Hyunjin stared at Jisung's smile. Oh how bad he wanted to pinch the shorter boy's cheeks, but Jisung's father was there so he decided not to and bowed back before walking back toward the building
