Chapter 5: Sunday funday

Ruthie would officially start her job tomorrow. Today she was meeting with the youth group. Martin told her they have a small group on Sunday nights. She was sitting next to Martin in the church listening to Lucy's Sermon. 

Lucy sermon finally came to a end. Some of the girls have been starring holes through Ruthie trying to figure out who she was and why she was sitting so close to Martin.  Sandy had came to visit this Sunday with Aaron, but Ruthie didn't even notice she was there until her and Martin got up to leave after the sermon.

Sandy approached them quickly before they could escape her. " Martin we should really talk..Um alone! Why are you even here Ruthie thought you moved away with that boy"

Ruthie didn't like how  Sandy came across but she was in church and didn't wanna to set a bad example for the youth!

" I live here now. T- Bone and I broke up and now I will be working side to side with Martin " Ruthie explain very kindly. Though she had mush uglier things she wanted to say.

" oh that's nice. Martin can we do talk or not. I drove all the way here" Sandy pleaded.  Than added " I would think seeing your Son would be more important than standing here with Ruthie"

Martin really didn't appreciate how rude Sandy was being especially to Ruthie. " You know there was a time Ruthie was there for you when she had every reason not to be, We will go to my office and talk with the door open" Martin firmly told her. Than turned to Ruthie. " I'm sorry let me deal with this and than I'll meet you after"

Martin walked away annoyed with Sandy following him. Ruthie was invited to join Lucy, Kevin, and their kids at their house for lunch anyways. She forgot to tell Martin. She decided she would text him to let him know and that she would let him know when she got back. They could meet at her place.

She meant to cook him dinner last night but she was so mad over the bank issue and wanted to put the final touches on her apartment first.  They decided Monday night would be perfect. She would prepare him a nice dinner to start the week off!

She did manage to her her bank issues solved but there was no way to get all that stolen money back.

Meanwhile in Martins and soon to be Ruthie office He and Sandy was about to argue.  Sandy wasn't respecting him or even talking she was lecturing him like a child.

" Look Sandy. Aaron is not mine and it pains me to say that. I will still see him and I love him but it's not my place to support him. Find his father. Have him give you child support or something "

Sandy didn't look happy at all " Martin you will always be consider Aaron's Dad to me and Him. How do I explain to him why you only visit him but don't offer financially support"

" You explain to him that I am his dad and he being taking care of. He is 4 years one he  doesn't need to know I'm not supporting him financially, but I'll Always be there for him"

" You don't understand! I'm single now. I have no support" Sandy was trying her hardest not to cry.

" I'm sorry Sandy  but you have options.  When he is older you can explain who is father Really is and it's okay to be a single mom. To seek help" Martin explained.

" What do you think I'm trying to do here today Martin"

" Sandy your trying to force me to do financially support you. I cannot do that. If you need help then I can help you but not in the way that you want"

" My job barely pays the bill. I'm struggling to keep food on the table and meet his needs. He grown a lot." Sandy kept on

" it's okay to be a single mom and Sandy there is nothing wrong with seeking help to support your son. To make ends meet until your in a better situation financially. Take advantage of the problems out there to help you, it's nothing to be ashamed of many young women do it"
